Weird.

Okay, I'm going to have server maintenance on Thursday, and a complete redo of my whole site hierarchy, without breaking links for anything coup. There will be a notice in the script.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

The notice is out there. So guess I'll use the old Coup that day.

Thanks for the notice, Sprool.
I'll probably survive without it.

Is that 'new update' thing going to be there for the next two days? Can't it die after you click it?
Heh...die...a button...

I want one of those. Especially a "-blam!- You" button for when I get an error or a stupid question from my computer.

That would be awesome, but I'm talking about the window on the screen having that option.

Oh yes, something I forgot about a long time ago, which is the timestamps! You'll be able to see the post time relative to where you live.

Good. Now that is useful. And I like your current userbar the best.

Cool! Though...I live in PST anyway. Could there be an option to turn that off?

OOH, OOH!

Better yet, how about if we saw what the poster's time zone was?! So I could tell both when they posted relative to me, and relative to them!

It would be cool if they were both options, so I could turn one off, and the other on, whereas another would want both on, or none.

Okay, I'm done, ut do you guys want it to completely overwrite the original date, or stay under it as a new one.

  • 11.25.2008 8:40 PM PDT

How about to the right? I saw the effects while you were testing it, I guess, cause it's not working now, and it looked sorta strange. Overwriting would kinda suck...it would confuse people who were used to the old system. Underneath looks odd. But horizontally?

  • 11.25.2008 9:03 PM PDT

You don't have to have that time change thing with the coup though I'm hoping. I'm so used to pacific time here, I automatically translate it in my head. It'd be a mess if I changed that. Good idea none the less.

Thank for getting rid of that 'new' button. It's very...bold.

Edit: Yay it's back up. Mmm, I guess it's OK if I have the normal time with it.

I'm trying to make it where, if you are already in the pacific time zone, it won't show up.

Okay, it should work now. I'll disable it until I have the matching options.

I like that, Sprool. Maybe after that you could have it correctly update the forum index -which is hard for thread created times but easier for last reply times.

It should be easy, since I already figured out how to change any time to local time just now.

Tell CAVX. He needs to do that in another location.

  • 11.25.2008 9:31 PM PDT

Mmm...if possible, could you make the time thing optional? I'm looking back...and it just looks cluttered on my screen. Just a thought.

You still rock socks either way.
