I have some big questions, guys.
Today, I'm starting my study on coding, but I need help making my beginning decisions:
-Which language should I learn?
-Which Text Editor should I use?
-Which Compiler should I use?
-Which Debugger should I use?
I don't plan on having to spend any money, so please tell me the best free ones. :)
Yeah, sorry if I look like a newb listing all this shat, I'm just sorta following the tutorial, but these are decisions I need NOW that the tutorial won't give me!
It really depends on where you want to go with it and what you want to be able to do. Expose yourself to everything. There are plenty of similarities between languages which makes easy to learn once you get the hang of it. In college, they insisted teaching Java over and over again, but at my job we use C#. Java and C# are pretty similar so it was an easy transition. Key thing is PRACTICE, you can never do enough programming.
What would be a good starting language, just to get the hang of it? People keep telling me to do C and then C++. I have no idea what to do, when you're new to this field it's SO overwhelming.
