What, no F&Q on what a script or GM is?

Do you need to know what a userscript or Greasemonkey is, or are you simply pointing out the weirdness in not explaining these things in the OP?

The only script that works for me is Coup. I have chrome. Help?
The majority of the scripts here are build for Greasemonkey on Firefox so they likely utilize methods specific to that. Either download Firefox and Greasemonkey or find scripts that are compatible with Chrome.

What browser? Might have issues with Chrome seeing as it uses GM_* functions. I could change it to localstorage for wider compatibility I guess.
Oh, yeah sorry, it's Chrome.

I got around to uploading a fix. It should work now. Same link.

Timezone Converter (rehost + changes)
I've decided to rehost dazarobbo's timezome converter seeing as all of the links in the first page seems to have exploded. In doing this, I decided to change a few aesthetics of the script by giving in a new config panel - now found on the profile page ala coup settings - and changing the format of the input slightly which is now relative to GMT rather than PDT. The rest of the code has not changed at all and I haven't added any functionality to that.

Thanks, I've needed this for a while. But it doesn't seem to be working correctly. I live on GMT +2 but it is delayed by an hour. I had to change it to GMT +3 in order to make it work properly.

Daylight savings is stupid and I refuse to acknowledge it. The GMT thing was only a guide seeing as more people know their time relative to GMT than PDT.

If you click the links, it goes to a post usually explaining what the script is.

I might be doing something wrong or there might be something wrong with my browser, but it's not saving for me..

Oh sorry, my bad. I didn't remember daylight saving. I guess it's working proplerly then.

Okay, I fixed the timezone script again. It will work in Chrome, Firefox and Opera now. I actually bothered testing it this time. Same link.

Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox add-on that allows you to run userscripts.

Userscripts are small snippets of code that anyone can write and share. They automatically run when you visit certain pages, and they can edit the page after it has been downloaded to your browser.

An example: Coup d'Bungie is a userscript that automatically runs whenever you go to a forum page or group forum page. It allows people to use custom avatars, title bar text, post backgrounds, et cetera.

Hey guys. I'm just wondering, is there a script that can sort through your messages that you receive on here?

With all the games coming out this year, many people will be sending messages with spoilers. Now as I don't want to stop reading my messages as the months go on, I think some kind of script would be a good idea.

Perhaps it could read the messages and scan for certain words like "Halo 4, MW3" etc etc. Really any unreleased games. (Maybe make the user choose which words the script will look for)

If the script finds anything it will "flag" the message in a way so that the recipient is notified that it could be bad.

I'm not sure if that's even possible. I don't even know how to write scripts. :)

Interesting idea. So like, it will scan your new messages, and if the titles have certain words in them, they are blocked? I rather like the idea.

What about the content of the message as well? I would think most people who are sending spoilers are going to have a misleading subject, or none at all. I know for sure I wouldn't click a PM with the title "How (game/move/whatever) ends".

Yeah. :)

Maybe not blocked (Because you might actually be having a discussion with another member over messages), but just some kind of visual cue that the message could be 'bad' or something. Although if the words were put in the title, perhaps the entire title could be replaced with some kind of warning.

Would it be possible for something like that to scan the content of messages too?

Unless we were able to input the words to detect, I'm not a fan of someone scanning my messages.
