In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

I just downloaded it. It works fine for me. Go to
Tools>Add-ons>Themes
then click on the Bungie theme. Click "Use this theme".

Did that, restarted firefox, and when I see the homepage, I get the Welcome to Firefox 3 tab along with my google FF homepage. It is still not working.
Could you take a screenshot of your Themes tab?

Hey! I just found that out! Don't you ruin my research! Well, I just sent the PM with specific instructions. Screenshots are easier on Macs. Just three buttons.

I don't think I can help you there. Do you have Greasemonkey installed? I have no idea if that actually needs it, but that may be your problem.

I just upgraded to 3.05, and the theme works exactly as it did before. What exactly is going on for you?

My upgrade also didn't change anything. I don't exactly know why your theme would go away, but there's not much else I can tell you. The theme should still work. Just reinstall, click "Use Theme" and see how that works.

While we're on the subject, CAVX, I have a request. Right click a picture, or anything else for that matter, and choose "properties." The background is so dark that it is impossible to read the text without highlighting it. Is there a fix for this?

  • 12.17.2008 8:51 PM PDT

Okay, I think It's either a problem with my firefox itself, or my PC. Like I put before, Every time I open Firefox, It is like I'm a new User. My PC has been giving me troubles lately. I tested the theme just now. I downloaded a theme directly from mozilla.com and still nothing. I might have to ghost my CPU

You can haz. Just don't put your title as "Bungie Employee."

Oh, and I'd avoid gold text altogether. I, as well as many others, like to reserve gold and salmon for the big shots here, so there posts can actually be distinguished from just another Coup.

J Man, that's more likely to be an error with Firefox preferences than a general PC error. Try browsing through your settings before you take drastic measures.

There is no fix for that. It's the one real bug of the theme. Try as I might, I can't seem to figure out the style that can make only that text white without screwing up the rest of the theme. I've been trying to figure that one out for a while now. Sorry. I know it's an inconvenience.

We don't need a rule for every single freaking thing someone thinks is spam.

Hmm. . . I've been trying to get the Bungie Theme for firefox to work, but every time I try to install it, it gives me this error message.

Firefox could not install the file at

file:///D:/Downloads/bungie3.jar

because: Not a valid install package

Any ideas?

Are you running an HDD off of the D:\ drive? Normally that's a CD/DVD Drive.

Instead of just saving it to the downloads folder, try saving it to your desktop. Perhaps it's not referencing the file location correctly where it is now.

No, Assassin's title bar had a weird character in it.

LOL. That sounds pathetic, but is a lot more serious than I know. All of that for one character?

Yes, one bad character will stop the whole script from functioning. Another reason why we have to be careful with auto approving.
