THIS IS A COMBINATION OF TWO POSTS I MADE
i figured id like to get personal views on all these theorys as they are pretty much on the same topics.

***there destruction "Is the will of the gods" and they "are thier instruments" . But from any other species or planet wiped out that had nothing useful, they just glassed the planet within hours. Now they finally found the home planet, if they wanted to wipe us out, they would totally destroy the planet and send the largest fleet ever to do it. But look at that "cheap" advetrisement that was released (the first ever halo 2 ad) it mentioned "they dont wanna destroy earth, just mankind" now there is a reason why they dont wanna destroy earth, perhaps it holds one of the biggest forerunner secrets ever, perhaps a map to show where the forerunners are hiding (they could still be alive?) or all the secrets of the forerunners which they hid on earth, and perhaps all the lifeo n earth (human and all) was created by the forerunners, maybe the flood was a failed project in trying to create a lifeform. i dunno. im babbling again ha ha. but they are looking for something, the advertisement has it written all over it. ***

***mentioned they wanted to destroy Mankind. But there is more behind thier attack on earth, as the Advertisement hints, and due to the fact the planet hasnt been glassed yet and gruond troops where deployed. halo 2 is considered as a "galactic romp from one place to the next" "you take the player from the ruins of halo to ancient forerunner facilitys orbiting gas giants" meaning it isnt all on earth. this has a few possibilites behind it. The covenant are looking for something on earth as well as trying to destroy mankind, and when they find what they are looking for, and are finished with it, they WILL glass the planet. Now if it starts on earth, then theres two reasons why youd leave earth. Its been destroyed and glassed after the covy found what they needed, or it was saved but the covenant still got what they where looking for, and your after them. or it could start somewhere else, go to earth, then you leave earth again to find out bout the forerunners etc or someting, then the covenant find earth and you go back to earth after finding out about a secret hidden on earth that could turn the war, and its your job to hold back the covenant and fins this secret. there are dozens of possibilities which im too lazy to list but you get the idea. ***

That ad sucked by the way. It's on the August issue of OXM, and if you haven't seen the add before, or you aren't a Halo fan, you would have no idea what it's talking about. It doesn't mention Halo or Bungie, or anything that might hint what it is. No covenant, nothing.

Okay its called a "teaser" and it does mention bungie on it. has the xbox, xbox live, and the bungie logos in the bottom. who cares if its crap. teaser trailers alwasy are, did you see the avp teaser trailer? it was just the sound of an alien, then a predator, then avp appeared on the screen and that was it. but they are such renowned icons that people will automatically recognise it. blah blah blah im too lazy to type the rest of my argument

I'll be on my own side.

do you not know what glassing a planet is?? its when the Covenant fire their plasma torpedoes at a planet from orbit. they keep shooting until everything is destroyed and it leaves a layer of a glassy substance all over the planet

that was directed at Elte Marine

OMG I KNEW IT ITS EAST AFRICA!. EGYPT! THE FORERUNNER BUILT THE PYRAMIDS!

  • 07.03.2004 12:55 PM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

dont be retarded. if they did build them, they wouldnt be so primitive.it would be all high tech because Halo was built before the pyramids, and Halo is pretty -blam!- advanced. why would the Forerunners go back to stones?

ye cool cow heres somethign i posted in a previous topic when someone asked why africa was the major insertion point

thats obvious. think of the pyramid structures in egypt, there are many theorys on these been made by an alien race. now lets look at the forerunner architect, they have designs similiar to hyroglyphics if i can remember some points? now maybe the pyramids etc are guarding a great underground forerunnner facility. also the wallpapers on bungie, one of them is an egyptian hyroglyphic type wallpaper, but why pick and egyptian hyroglyphic theme as a wallpaper? is it just pure coinicidence, or on purpose?

I was the first with the theory :P :P :P mwu ha ha ha

  • 07.03.2004 12:58 PM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

or maybe they where trying to give a racce a push forward in advancing and trying to get them into research etc. or maybe they built sort of futuristic tmeples, compared to the primitive buildings back then, to show they had power so they would be worshipped like gods. perhas the same was done on a covenant planet millenia ago, only the covenant kept though to their "gods" etc etc.

Have you never seen movies like Stargate, The Fifth Element...etc, they all use pyramids...they are an unexplained thing on our earth...it makes a hell of a good theory if you ask me.

you know,i bet Jason Jones or Joe Staten are watchin us type up these ridiculous theories and laughing their asses off

And even better is what we find in First Strike the different artifacts.. How the forrunners were kind of their gods and how the Pharoa of Egypt was a god.
