This thing decayed. Repeated theories and out of hand-ness. I honestly don't think it was that revolutionary anyway. The pyramid pointing at stars thing. Good- just didn't wanna get too close to reality.

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

I haven't read all of this, but did you freaks ever take it as far as the seven wonders of the world?

ye weve discussed the 7 wonders of the world. and everywhere we went with this theory in aim, the number 7 always popped up every where. haha. and 7 is bungies fave number :P and for the guy who said this has changed so much from the main topic blah blah blah, the main one was the hint in the ad saying they didnt want to destroy earth. when the covenant dont glass a planet right away, its because theres something on the ground they want or need, and who knows maybe whatever is on earth is so big and underground that they cant take it, so theyll just have to capture earth for themselves, and my theory on what they want has something to do with the pyramids, which is basically what we are still talking about. so no, it hasnt gotten off topic.

What could possibly be on earth worth having a war for? Maby The Covenant were awestruck by the Master Cheif's armor, and now seek it for themselves? Could they want to take over Earth to get to him? Or revenge against him, when u think about it, the SPARTAN program did kill...like...millions of covenant.

I was thinking last night and i thought up this interesting correlation between the real pyramids and the real stars. These may not make much sense but it's kind of interesting. (Italics are for real life and normal writing is for in the game). The Great Pyramid in Egypt has mysterious shafts inside of it. These shafts point toward different stars. One of them (I can't remember where it leads) points to what is now the north star. Another name for the north star is kynosoura (Greek) which is where we get the word "cynosure" which means "an object of much interest." What I'm getting to is that just south of polaris (the north star) is a RINGof stars called the "engagement ring".
What, if at all, that may translate to in the game is that maybe the Forrunners built the pyramids to find this "ring", which in the game could be another halo. And maybe since the ring's name is the "engagement ring" maybe there will be a large battle there, as in a military engagement.
Well...that's my two cents worth...i started rambling a bit at the end...what do you guys think?

Personally, I think this theory is extremely good about the pyramids, but I have a question...If the forerunner made the Pyramids to point to certian Star formations, or Halo's, Then in Halo 1, why was the moniter so intent on gathering so much information of earth from the pillar of autumn? (the maw). He keeps saying things such as: "You can't imagine how exciting this is! To have a record of all of our lost time! Human history, is it? Fascinating." and "Oh how I will enjoy every moment of its categorization!". The Monitor, (343 Guilty Spark) Is A Forerunner AI, so If they made the pyramids, they must have knowledge about Earth and its Inhabitants.

But I could be wrong...

Maybe the Forerunner built the pyramids and left Earth, for some unknown reason. They knew Humans existed but since they weren't watching the earth they lost track of the history.
I don't really know...i'm writing this as i'm thinking it up...

Hmmm...But why would the monitor need info on earth, and catagorize it, if they already have it in their databanks? The Forerunner arnt dumb, they can make multiple ring worlds, i dont think they'd forget about Pyramids pointing to strategic locations...

That's right, the pyrimids are so percisely bulit at 52 degree angles, that would have been immpossible for people that long ago.

I think, that humans nowadays, in their complacency, have begun to assume that any generation before theirs MUST have NO knowledge of mathematics and construction. They had very little to learn about in those days after all, there was no Bungie dropping secrets hints about video games back then. So, they learned about complex construction, we forgot about it, and you SHOULD know where I'm going with this.

Look I'm sayin' the Egyptians were stupid. They were probably smart then most anceint cultures. But with tools at the time it would have been very hard.

lol...

there is nu such thing as coincidence... just want to say: it is on purpose.

Halo 2 is one big secret message holder, one you have to find for yourself.

nice theory's too. you know earth was created for millions of years ago. I dont know how old Halo is, but I guess the Pyramids might be made by a different group who was located at earth. you never know....

Aquila Major, maybe the forerunners built the pyramids, left becouse there was no intellegent life yet, then humans came, saw the pyramids and tryd to replicate them.
