if they wanted to wipe us out, they would totally destroy the planet and send the largest fleet ever to do it. ***

Yes, when I first saw the e3 trailer, I thought the concept of the Covenant invading Earth cool but totally implausible, if all they wanted to do was destroy our civilization. A big waste of their Elites, fighting on the ground like that. I was sure there had to be a bigger agenda.

Nice to know I won't have to switch my brain off when playing the game.

The Prophets have some major hidden agenda that even the elites and brutes don't know. The prophets are using all the covenant. There is most likely something that no one wants anyone to see hidden on earth, that is why Prophets are pushing Elite Troops on to the Ground. They will probably attack earth given fake "objectives" like destroy the power generator for the Super Mac orbital guns. Once its safe the prophets will come down onto Earth and take what ever they dont want any1 else to have.

Remeber the "Light" that the spartans found underground in Oni's base i have a feeling theres another artifact on earth somewhere in one of the pyramids that has coordinates to the second halo

Hmmm that bring up another question... could there really be a "Pandoras Box"... perhaps housing an artifact much like the one found in ONI only with deadly powers.... bah I'm going off topic too many possibilities
By the way here are the links for different mappings of a certain wallpaper

Mine:

Refrence Maps:

We posted this a while ago (Page 18 to be exact) and unfotunetly this big find (relatively) was washed out by a wave of new theories (which is fine by the way)...
They have fairly different views... the main point is the Pyramids however... so take a like and tell us whatyou think

EDIT: New link for Red's map is up now

Going back to the pyriminds. We keep talking about the same three, the ones at Gazia(sp?) but aren't there more? Like the "failed" ones the Egyptians first built? Do they point at other Halos as well? Or did they once point to them but then the Halos moved and the newer ones were made to point out the proper location? just something I've been wondering about. -GK04

Actually Grunt you are leaving out a few key people here like Me and Dual I was here before shifty but he knows as much as I do.

Edit: Very good point Grunt but if you think about it the Pyramids that are partly built were either...Destroyed partly in battle, Eroded from the wind, sand and heat. But the ones that are partly built were maybe failed attempts at building them or! There Pharoas wanted there pyramid in a different spot then initially planned.

What other earth things are there that might be Forrunner "Calling Cards" i was thinking the Nazca Lines. Has any one found any thing like the Nazca lines on Halo?

y'know what...I just got an idea. it may not be too plausible, but hey, it's a start...
what if the covenant trying to take earth is just a distraction? like, maybe it's to keep the humans at bay while another large strike team goes in search of other Halos, so they can activate them and wipe us out in the process. It would make a lot of sense...One of them activate a Halo, and then when they do they broadcast it to the invasion team on earth. The earth invasion team packs up and goes...and humanity thinks they've won. (This also could explain why the Covenant didn't sent all they had against earth...if a signal didn't get out and the Covies were caught in the pulse of the weapon, the losses wouldn't be super duper great. Then again, maybe the invasion force isn't that big because MC and his buddies kinda wiped out 500 Covie ships...) They most likely woud'nt have the resources to chase the Covies around, nor would they really want to. Humanity sits around and rebuilds...and then BAM! Life is gone. The only downfall to this plan would be that if they activated a Halo that was pretty far away from earth, they'd most likely be out of that quadrant of the galaxy before the blast hit it.

oh, yeah, and to answer a question put here before...a light year is around 10-15 trillion miles (I can't remember the exact number), and scientists have already experimented with a laser that is faster that light (it was clocked as so fast that it exited the test chamber before it even finished entering).
so there ya go

...BOOBIES!!!

I bet the covies are tryin to kill us because the found a halo close to them, that if we got to, we could fire it at their homeplanet and destroy them........and when you're on earth you don't spend all your time in africa, thats why there was a bunch of screens of snow hogs, and underwater hogs, maybe theres somthing beneath the ice of antarctica ?

I was thinking thats is it not a conciendice that all habitable planets had a Forerunner artifact

1. Reach
2. The planet where Cote de Azur rock was found
3. Earth, maybe

Ah something else extremely true! But you must remeber those screens are ancient and things may have changed!

y'know...that would really make a lot of sense if there was some forerunner thing in Antartica. It would be super well hidden and nearly impossible to get to, let alone fight over. plus, maybe there could be something to do with it being on one of the poles of the earth, too...

good idea, ender. also, maybe you're right about Halo being near the Covenant homeworld. The gas giant that Halo 04 was around is called Threshold.

Here's some definitions of the term Threshold.

1. A piece of wood or stone placed beneath a door; a doorsill.
2. An entrance or a doorway.
3. The place or point of beginning; the outset.
4. The point that must be exceeded to begin producing a given effect or result or to elicit a response: a low threshold of pain.

Also, here's the definitiions for Basis, Threshold's moon.

1. A foundation upon which something rests.
2. The chief constituent; the fundamental ingredient: The basis for most liquids is water.
3. The fundamental principle.
4. An underlying circumstance or condition: workers paid on a daily basis; friends who are on a first-name basis.

so, maybe it's a "doorway" to the Covenant homeworld. Or it's called Threshold because it's the start of the Halo game and all...haha. But there are possibilities here, people!

I don't think they had an underwater hog, but they also had a jungle hog. maybe there's gonna be something in the jungle, too..

sure, but if it was in antartica, how would the forerunners carve through all the ice? oh, plasma. anyway, why would they care whether you could fight over it or not? it's not like they want to keep it a secret. halo itself was pretty big after all.

i'm pretty sure bungie want to stay away from the jungle. MOH Rising Sun didn't do too well 'cause of it.
