Instead of making your own theory on something already known, wait and find out the true reasons and meanings of everything when you play through halo 2. Bungie will tell you the whole story with all the details in halo 2, there will be no theory for something that is, just wait and find out what is the is.

frog, we worked hard to come up with this theory. Unless you got something better, shut up, and get out of here.

What if the pyramids of Egypt send data information to the Forerunners? We all remember in the level Halo of the first Halo there were these structures which sent blue beams to the sky. Maybe those beams exchange information at the pyramids of Egypt, or another Halo. And thus, the pyramids also do the same thing.

Hello there,
i was just wondering if the e-mail one of you sent has beeen replied too?.

PS:This thread is brilliant!.

I was the one who sent the e-mail, and it will not be replied to. If you know what halo.bungie.org is, you'd know they take theories and post it on their site. Now, it hasn't been posted yet, but they eventually post all original theories. It's just that they need time to read and go through them, sorting out which are good, and which aren't, and then categorizing them. Why don't you go ahead there and take a look. It's an awesome site. Once you get there, click on the link The Story, and then pick the category you want. Our theory should eventually end up in "The Forerunners." But there are a bunch of good theories at "343 Guilty Spark" as well.

By the way, that original wallpaper which Bungie made, which shoes hieroglyphics and ancient Egyptian drawings is very tough to decipher. Jared, Shifty, Redleader, and I found keys that translate the most common (as there are thousands) hieroglyphics into letters. The code was very tough to deipher, and we only managed to find 2 words out of the entire thing, which was probably around 7 or 8 words. Anyone willing to guess what those words were? Oh, and the reason why we couldn't decipher the rest, was probably because Bungie just made up symbols.... There is even the Marathon logo there, although RedLeader thinks its 343 GS.

Here's some more evidence for you none - believers. I copied and pasted this from this site: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/pyramid/explore/builders.html

MARK LEHNER, Archaeologist, Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, and Harvard Semitic Museum

NOVA: In your extensive work and research at Giza have you ever once questioned whether humans built the pyramids?

LEHNER: No. But have I ever questioned whether they had divine or super intelligent inspiration? I first went to Egypt in 1972 and ended up living there 13 years. I was imbued with ideas of Atlantis and Edgar Cayce and so on. So I went over, starting from that point of view, but everything I saw told me, day by day, year by year, that they were very human and the marks of humanity are everywhere on them. And you see there's this curious reversal where sometimes New Age theorists say that Egyptologists and archaeologists are denigrating the ancient culture. They sometimes put up a scarecrow argument that we say they were primitive. And the New Agers sometimes want to say these were very sophisticated, technologically sophisticated people who built these things, they were not primitive. Well, actually there's a certain irony here, because they say they were very sophisticated technological civilizations and societies that built the pyramids and the Sphinx, and yet they weren't the ones that we find. So to me, it's these suggestions that are really denigrating the people whose names, bodies, family relationships, tools, bakeries that we actually find.

Everything that I have found convinces me more and more that indeed it is this society that built the Sphinx and the pyramids. Everytime I go back to Giza my respect increases for those people and that society, that they could do it. You see, to me it's even more fascinating that they did this. And that by doing this they contributed something to the human career and its overall development actually. Rather than just saying, you know copping out and saying, there's no way they could have done this. I think that denigrates the people whose evidence we actually find.

Maybe the Forerunners had something to do with these :).

oky-doky guys. Am all for this topic, but lets not forget the fiction here. This wonderful software developer named Bungie has put all this in ower heads and we are relating with the Eyption gods here, and i dont think that bungie has gone that far. We maybe correct,
BUT lets not get ower hopes up.:D

OKay ive been gone a few hours from my last post. I'm glad people kept my thread going. I would like to thank Cool_Cow, Duelwieldingfreak, Shifty, Jared (or jerad? ah!) for talking to me for hours on AIM and making my original theory into more of a realit, and i must say its starting to get out of hand, but i think we are right about the egyptian thing, but i dont think it will be a major part in Halo 2, just a reason to why they "dont want to destroy earth, Just mankind" there is something on our planet and they want it, and they are going to kill us along the way. So anyway i figure the pyramids do point to several places in space. But only one is the haven of the forerunners. And i beleive that its where this "war from 1000's of years ago) took place. and i beleive what can turn the war resides there, and when the humans discover this, there is a race between the covenant and earth, to get thier first, of course the covenant, having the better ships will jump thier quicker, and the final fight for humanity, and the universe will take place. or maybe not. but the pyramid theory is stil lstanding strong and id also like to thank other people for thier contributions. And dee cee, your little theory, its really wierd i came up with that about an hour before you posted it, in AIM with the rest of the guys, lol. But you posted it first so youll get the credit for it, trust me.

Anyway i hope we can keep this going.

Let me point one thing out. The forerunners vanished 100's of thouhsand's of years ago. and the pyramids, we built 7000 years ago??????
I have over looked this thread and i have changed my mind. The pyramids are not the reason, and they do not contain the flood. there is something they want with ower planer but its not this. They may want to colonise this planet for all we know, so dont get your hopes up about all this egyptian non-sense. I am sorry to say all this but this is my new opinion.

"The way of the warrior is the path of shadow. The gift of the warrior is to percieve that which cannot be seen. The spirit of the warrior is to strike in a single moment. The destiny of the warrior is balance in all things. And when balance is lost... all that is left is the reckoning."

I think your last part about there being a race to find this haven or artifact is probably true because in none of the books they ever mention some mysterious facilities near human clonies so that must mean at least new planets we visit. But also, the Covenant must at least be willing to sacrifice a whole armada to attack and gain control of Earth. I say this because the armada was to jump to "Earth, Sol System" not to the outer edges, working their way in. They're jumping to Earth directly potentioly leaving their rears unprotected, at least for the time being. Hey, that could be how the humans turn the tides of the battle (if Earth is saved of course).

Well, there is no evidence the pyramids were made only 7 thousand years ago. And, anyway, nobody really knows what happened to the forerunners. They could still be alive now. Maybe they confronted the Egyptians. That's all the gods the Egyptians talk about. And nobody would believe them right? So nobody would know that the Forerunners came back. But anyway, the pyramids could be older.

no one knows when the forerunners disappeared, the only forerunner artifact seen and mentioned in halo is, halo which dated back 100's of thousands of years ago, this doesnt mean its when they disappeared.

The stones can be daded by the way so they were built 7000 years ago. The evolution of ower type of man stoped at 20 000 years ago. The bones can also be dated!!!!!!

OK, for a moment, lets say this theory is right. Its a science fiction story! IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE EXACT!!!!! And, anyway, as I said, no one knows if the Forerunner still exist, and even if they dont, they could have still existed 7 thousand yrs ago.

I had an Idea that the Forerunners were a grouping of races, like the Covenant, which could give them a very balanced society. Our brains always interpret what we see in th world and change it so we can understand what we're seeing. The Egyptians might have worshipped them in ways that they could understand, like animals they could see everyday. It would just make what they saw, easier to...comprehend is probably the best word.

You are very close minded. Brutes are Rhinos. So what?! They don't have to be dogs, just aliens that look like them?! Doesn't mean they aren't smart! But Egyptians interperted them as animals, maybe they looked like them. DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE!
