Do you think that in Halo2, you should start a new level with the weapons you had when you finished the previous level? I do as it would make the story for example, more realistic. (unless we actually saw the Master Chief pick up a different weapon in a cut scene)

Give me your views aswell.

Yeah, that made me mad in the original Halo. I would have really good weapons at the end of the previous mission, and they would give me weapons that I didn't want to use for that particular level on that particular difficulty.

Ok, you gotta think about this for a minute. If you end a level with no ammo and then started the next level with the same exact weapons you are screwed. So I think Bungie can do whatever they please with the game. I didnt complain once about the way Halo played out. AND THAT's THE WAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES.

If you end the level with no ammo, it's your problem to deal with. Thus making the game much more realistic surely!!!! (It would also get you thinking about strategy!!)

Its not such a big deal butt it would still be cool under certain circumstances!
I voted “Not bothered” cause I trust on bungie’s decision...on certain affairs (I still believe in drivable pelicans for Halo 2;)

Fair enough. Pelicans aren't pilotable in Halo 2 I don't think, sorry to disappoint you!

Well I think you should cause in the first game you beat 343 guilty spark with a shotgun(normally since it's the best to kill the flood) and whatever else then you get teleported and end up witth a -blam!- ar and the pistol which I hate.So I think it would be much more simple to go to the next level with the weapons you finished the previous level with>It would also give an edge for using a strategy once you beat the game you'll know what to expect and have the weapons to do the job

Oh ya one question if bungie decides to use this idea what weapons will we get on the first level or when we beat the game and decide to choose another random level

Well we get what we're given on level 1, and then we can have/ use whatever we like from then on in, cool?

I'll be on my own side.

if you have no ammo on legendary and you end a level, you should start the next level with no ammo,to make it even harder.

Exactly, totally agree.

it also adds to the realism. i really didnt like finishing the Library with a shotgun and pistol, and starting Two Betrayals with a damn plasma pistol(i kept my shotgun, thank god). where the hell did a plasma pistol come from??

you should keep the exact same weapons and amount of ammo when you transfer between levels

You guys dont realize that between many levels the MC was transported by a dropship that would have a weapons locker in it. hint...

  • 07.03.2004 3:26 PM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

yeah i know about that, and thats fine and dandy, but when 343GS or Cortana teleports the Chief, where does the extra artillery come from?

if theres no place where weapons and ammo can come from, then it should be in your possession

Then one can assume that he atained a weapon out of story.
I do agree that there could problably be better continuity so I voted yes.

Maybe choosing your weapon in the Pelican would be quite cool.

nah.that would get annoying after a while. say that your favorite weapons to take were the Battle Rifle and the SMG.it would get old at having to choose them over an over and over everytime you played that level.

or maybe you just wanted to play the damn game and not have to go through some dumb weapons menu

But, if you got to keep your weapons from the previous level then wouldn't that make the game more difficult? Just think about it, you go into an area with a plasma rifle and an smg, but find out that its a "stealth" level, then youd be kinda screwed.
