THE 7th COLUMN
Tru7h. Carnage. Bungie.

Founded: November 14, 2001
Members: +104,667
Groups: Alot.

As Bungie's official fanclub and Underground Army, the 7th Column is at the heart of the Bungie fan community. With thousands and thousands of members across the world, the Column provides a central meeting place for Bungie fans of all ages.
When Bungie.net re-launched in November of 2001, the Column was born as a place for Bungie fans to carve their own personal niche into our rapidly growing Community. Anyone could create their own "club" complete with a private forum, a news system, custom databases and an events calendar. The Column gave our fans a home of their own and would become a great meeting point for players interested in forming clans, finding LAN parties and talking shop about Halo and beyond. The online features of the Column itself were created as a gift for our fans, "to thank them for being so loyal", says Max Hoberman, former Bungie Community Lead (and current Halo 2 Multiplayer Lead). While membership in the Column is free and open to everyone, there is one catch: "We want our 7th Column members to help us take over the world."

Fast forward to today and the Column is a different beast than it originally was. Coming off the huge success of Halo and the release of Halo 2, the Bungie Community is bigger and stronger than ever and as a result, the old Bungie.net website had to be retired to make way for something more powerful. In April of 2004, the "new hotness" was launched, bringing Bungie.net back to the cutting edge and providing a base from which we could grow and keep up with the flood of traffic. Now the 7th Column is finally ready to make a grand return and take advantage of the new technologies so once again our fans have a place to call their own. While the look has changed and a few of the features have been modified, the heart and soul of the Column lives on, stronger than ever.

Don't talk to Toast like that! You have been here for a day or two and he has been here for months and you really think you can tell him what to do? Toast is a cool guy, so respect your elders!

And he basically answered the question. What is the 7th Column? That basically is an answer in depth.

He who makes a beast out of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man.

He obviously doesn't have enough sense to stop leaning on the shift key. Anyways, Jorge you need to calm down, VII Toast tried to give a nice and completely informative reply and you shoved it in his face. Besides you could give someone a complex calling them names...
FREKIN COPY/PASTER I know that one hurt you deep down inside Toast, but I would just like you to know that we are here beside you if you need us. ha

Discipline is my Sword,
Faith is my Shield,
Do not leap blindly into uncertainty,
And you may live to reap the rewards.
