I have many complaints about the post, but the thing that bothers me is that one of the best maps is being left out. The weapons physics are somthing that the designers screwed up, and should have never made "more realistic". The game takes place in a fictional future environment, who is to say that there could not be a pistol as good as what was found in the original Halo? And for argument's sake and continuity issues, why would the designers see fit to add a better shield, but then equip Master Chief with inferior weaponry. Add to this that a good sniper can own a map, and that the pistol was a good equalizer that actually helped balance things because EVERYONE had one, and you get another example of Bungie dropping the ball. I love Halo 2 on Live, but there are still balance issues in the game. The campaign mode was obviously rushed out before the game was ready [after 3 years yet], the cone of vision seem s more restricted, and the motion trackers are less useful. So we got a game that was less developed, not finished, and removed much of the strategy of the first so that we can just run straight ahead, blasting away. But we gave Bungie the benefit of the doubt, because we thought that there would be more [like an ending] but now we get to pay for more maps, and keep hoping. I will continue to play Halo 2 because it is the best Live experience out there, and is a great multi-play time, but Bungie really needs to impress us with what comes next, otherwise they just lowered the bar.....right across our heads. For the sake of gaming, I am rooting for something truly amazing, because I feel mostly let down with Halo 2.
