Been playing legendary campaign for over 5 years and I thought I had seen pretty much everything the game could come up with, till yesterday that is!
2 Betrayals after you clear the top of the structure of the enemies beyond the blast door, normally the enemies that you deal with next stay down on the shade platform. Yesterday I was playing and all of them trundled on up to the top level and had a go at me. This is the first time the AI decided that was something it could/should do!
I have a feeling that the way I played the beginning of the level may have affected how it decided to counter my actions. Normally after opening the first blast door out of the control room and engaging the covies and sentinels I would find a footing near the action to hide out behind and pick off enemies from there. This last time, I opened the door, headed back to the circle of the control room and sniped with my PP till all of the enemies had bought it (including the second wave of elites and jackals). The second blast door I did the same, retreated and pecked away with the PP and tossed PGrenades till everything met its timely end. When I moved up to take on the next set, on the next level down, they were already at the top and working their way towards my MC butt!
I was just amazed that after 5 years of playing this was the first time the game had reacted this way, and it was good!
