Hey guys, I got a few questions about Halo 2 for Vista, which I bought a few days ago.

1) Is the grand totalt 23 maps? Isn't there any extra maps to buy like in "Halo 3"?

2) Do I HAVE to be a Live Gold member, to play normal online play, like in the online play for Halo for pc? As in normal online play like CTF, Slayer and so on.

3) What other benifits does Gold members get in Halo 2? Is it stuff that actually effect my gameplay, or is it just bonus-like stuff?

4) Do you got anything else to add about the whole Silver/Gold discussion?

Thanks in advance :)

This goes in the Halo 1 & 2 for PC forum.
1. The grand total is 23. No downloads.
2. You need a gold membership to play online.
3. You get to play online.
4. No.

Alright, I were pretty sure there wasn't any other maps either.

Kinda sad with the Gold Membership though, I were reading an articel that said something around the lines "Silve members isn't missing out on the big features..." How is online not a big feature :|? The only thing I love about Halo is the awesome online!

Also, is online the only extra option? I though there also was other stuff like some extra achievments and such?

Also, why is there no desktop icon when I dowload Halo 2?

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin

I thought I read recently that microsoft wasn't charging people anymore for live on PC's so why not just get a gold membership if it doesn't cost anything.

Multiplayer is free on the PC. That includes free matchmaking, achievements, friends list etc. Everything that was previously only available to gold members is free to everybody. On another note can somebody explain to me why it costs $50 a year for Live on the Xbox?

Nice, no reason to pay then :o

Also, can anyone answer why my download of Halo 2 doesn't give a desktop icon? Or is this just normal?

@ Patfan: Gold still cost something, the question is just... Does Silver got all the same features?
