"Guns don't kill people, videogames do."

I found http://halo3.com/comic/ June 14, 2007 :)

#2 in the world for "Yuriev Time Trial" in Crackdown.

Whenever I play Halo 2 on my 360, a "shadow reflection" type thing always happens.

Is their any way to fix this?

Negatory, you must have an older console. I sent mine in for 3RROD and hoped my shadow somehow would be fixed but it wasn't.

well, mine was made in January 06. I sent in in twice for the RROD. I just got it back last week, in fact.

So no cure...that's really -blam!-...

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

I play Halo 2 on a 360 now too, can you explain this 'shadowing?' I'm not really sure what you mean.

sometimes when a new area loads, the load will leave residual textures on the screen, meaning you continue to see a still frame from one part of the level as you play on. its really annoying.

yeah like he said a shadow!.
The map backwash was notorious for this shadowing effect on the 360,so much so the map was removed from MM,its quite a odd map,but i have played a modded version offline with no mist BR start it makes for a suprisingly fast game............

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin

I used to get it on my day one 360 but I have never seen it on the console that I bought about a year ago.

I bought my 360 console earlier this year so I'm wondering if that effect was somehow rid of when they came out with the new units.

Yeah, I think they fixed it in the newer units. I haven't heard any complaints from people who bought later. It sucks for people who spent their money on MS first.

Jump off the ledge on Lockout to get rid of it, it doesn't even leave a shadow for me if I replay the level after fixing it.

I thought this was an emulator issue and not hardware related? What exactly were you doing when you got this ghost image? I usually get them while playing the campaign and especially after watching through a cinematic. I got around this headache by not playing the campaign.

Yeah, it's an emulator issue, but it was fixed in later models. I would think Bungie and MS would have come up with a solution to the older 360's.

I don't play live so it really sucks for me. I'm pretty pissed about paying my $400 only to see the price drop to $200 and no shadows.

I get it all the time when I play on my xbox. I get it usually on lockout.

But the emulator is software based, so they could easily update it on the older versions.

The reason you get it is because the xbox 360 is emulating the original xbox, or xbox compat. if you want to "fix" this, either play halo 2 on the original xbox or restart the 360 console.
