Who remembers playing massive LANs with your friends and -blam!- up, only to have to sit by and watch your friends -blam!- up just as badley as you did until you respawn ans laugh your ass off all the while.

The End

‘The conscious is cancerous if allowed to linger’

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

Gold elites (with different, unique, headdresses) that jumped very high towards you - seemingly unstoppable.

And let us not forget Truth and Reconciliation when you first board the ship and are subjected to waves of gold elites, it took me a while to beat that :D

I like it when you are moving and swapping weapons the dropped weapon actually bounces or skitters across the ground a bit, rather than just hitting the ground with a resounding thud and not moving again like it is superglued there.

Sheesh, womy, I thought I knew my CE. Makes me think of the old, 'load up behind the rock at the first construction' part of level two. Well done young man. Well done.

Death never tasted so good!

I miss the smooth gameplay which has been already said. I also miss playing on 2 xboxs and 2 televisions with 7 of my friends, hitting last call at the bar across the street and knowing that the night wasn't even half over.

Agreed - the Elites were much more fun to fight then the brutes.

I have to go with the awesome pistol, the only genuinely creepy level and the mental bit at the end.

Laughing At Nothing

The Library on Legendary.

I am an avid gamer with a passion to keep games fun and strategy provoking, rather than simply button mashing instant-reward games that plague the market nowadays. I'm not kind, but I'm rational, fair, and maybe, just maybe, somewhat intelligent.

The insane plays made on Lan.

For instance, I was playing on Battle Creek CTF 3v3, I picked up overshield and sniper, the other team is all alive and has our flag in their base ready to cap. I run in and killed all of them for a triple kill, and it won us the game.

Friendly until Fired upon

The fear of the flood....

and on battle creek my team ran the flag in about 8 seconds. Passing that flag through the roof running through the teleporters..

Ladders in the multiplayer maps...

throwing grenades at the sniper long distance and having it bounce to you.

Wow, this is still going.

The strengh of the pistol.

Invisible elites with swords that looked like big keys.

  • 11.07.2009 6:08 AM PDT

How does Bungie know just what to do to get my heart racing?

I'll never understand.

748 (and possibly not what i took for granted, but simply just loved):
realizing that you were actually backtracking through the levels you'd already cleared of covenant, after seeing the arrows on the floor pointing backwards.

  • 11.07.2009 8:57 AM PDT

749 Being able to melee the small flood rather than being forced to shoot them, let them bite you, or simply ignoring them.

I completely forgot about the ladders in multiplayer maps, they were epic.
