These are the events that take place during and after Halo 2 (These events are NOT true, they are MY IDEAS):

1) Humans successfully repel the Covenant force on the ground and in space (thanks largely in part to the upgraded Orbital MAC platforms and the use of *Nova* "Planet Killers").

2) Even though the Humans repelled and defeated the Covenant, they DO NOT pursue them back to their homeworld. Instead, they fall back and begin to reorganize and rebuild for what they think will be a 2nd assault.

3) The Covenant realize that the Humans have actually defeated them in an enormous battle, and the Covenants military forces are weakened from the defeat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is where I really throw MY IDEAS into play....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) As you know, the entire war started because the Covenant declared Humanity an affront and offense to their Gods. And you all know that the Forerunner are the Covenant's Gods.

5) THE FORERUNNER RETURN! The Forerunner, an ancient race that Humans and Covenant alike believed to be long gone and extinct, visit one of the Covenant homeworlds and speak to the highest member of the Covenant Hierarchy (their top leader).

6) The Forerunner say they are extremely disappointed and ashamed that the Covenant had actually been defeated by "vermin humans". The Forerunner are furious that the Covenant declared war in their name, and had lost a major battle that could turn the tide of the war. In the most shocking event of the millenium, the Forerunner execute the Covenant's Highest Prophet. They then retreat to space, and using weaponry that is millenia ahead of Covenant technology, they destroy the planet and every Covenant ship in the system.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know alot of people won't like this next part, but hey, they're my thoughts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7) The Covenant realize that any reason to continue the war with the Humans had long since past, and they needed to end the war in a way which they didn't want to do....PEACE.

8) A small Covenant Convoy enters the Sol (Earth) System, and immediatly sends a COMM to every ship and station in the system. The communique' speaks of peace, and that they wish to do no harm to the humans. VERY RELUCTANTLY, the Humans do not fire on the ship. Instead they listen to a video feed from the now Highest Prophet. The Prophet explains to the ONI and UNSC highest members that any and all reason for war to continue has passed. They propose a cease-fire and a peace treaty, which the Humans immediatly sign....ending the Human-Covenant War.

9) The Highest Prophet warns the Humans about the Forerunner. T.H.P. (The Highest Prophet) tells them that the ancient race had returned in full force, and was intent on wiping out Covenant and Humankind alike. The Covenant show the Humans a video that shows the Forerunner forces wiping out the Covenant warships and later destroying one of their homeworlds (the video was taken by a Covenant Battle Cruiser that had jumped to Slipspace after the planet was destroyed). T.H.P. offers the Humans a new kind of treaty...AN ALLIANCE.

10) The Humans still largely distrust the Covenant, mainly because of the millions upon millions of people the Covenant had killed in the past. The Humans do not immediately accept the Alliance, as they want a sign of good faith that all hostilities were over. The Humans demand access to all Covenant technology, demand the coordianates to the Covenants main Homeworld, and also demand that the Covenant assist them in building 4 major shipyards (remember, the only shipyard the Humans have left is Earth) so they can rebuild their crippled Navy. The Covenant agree, and hundreds of thousands of Covenant Engineers come to the Sol system within 5 days. The Engineers immediatly begin building the Shipyard Stations according to how the Humans want it built. As promised, T.H.P. gave the coordinates of the Covenant main Homeworld and gave them access to ALL of their technology (Plasma weapons on ground and in space, ship shielding capabilities, weapons research, etc).

11) Within 8 monthes, the 4 Shipyard Stations are completed, and immediately begin building new Prototype Battleships (Omega-Class Battleships). The new Omega Battleships now have full energy shielding capabilities, much stronger missles, and a brand new type of MAC that combines new MAC rounds with Plasma to produce a much larger MAC gun that can refire/recharge much quicker and can HOME IN on enemies (no longer do MAC's need exact aiming, they're HOMING!). Seeing that the Covenant had fulfilled their end of the bargain, the Humans happily sign the alliance, creating The Alliance.

12) One year later, Alliance forces (consisting of 15 Covenant Battleships, 10 Battle Cruisers, 5 brand new kinds of super-battleships, and 14 Human Omega Battleships, 7 heavy cruisers, and 2 super-carriers) re-enter the system the Forerunner had attacked the Covenant a year and a half ago. The Forerunner had kept forces in the system, and immediatly spotted the Alliance forces. The Forerunner and Alliance forces immediatly went at it. The Alliance forces outnumbered the Forerunner 2-1. The new MAC's on the Omega Battleships prove to be extremely effective against Forerunner ships, and ultimately win the battle. All Forerunner ships were destroyed, except for one crippled cruiser which immediately jumped out of the system at blinding speed (Forerunner ships can travel MUCH faster than any Human or Covenant ship).

13) Out of 53 Alliance ships, 35 returned to the Sol System. Earth was now much reinforced, as the Covenant Engineers also helped build 30 brand new Orbital MAC stations (which used the new MAC technology), bringing the # of Orbital Macs to 75. One year later, Forerunner forces invade the Sol system and begin to attack Earth. The # of Alliance ships in the system ready to fight is 265, and Earth now has 125 Orbital MAC's (80 are the new kind of MAC). However, the Forerunner invade with full force, and send 1,200 ships.

14) Forerunner ground forces land on Earth's surface en masse, and begin to wage war on Alliance troops and civilian forces alike.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is where the game begins. You are in the role of the Master Chief once again, this time, tougher as ever. The Mjolnir Armor has been upgraded to Mark VII, giving Chief much better shielding, strength, speed, and senses. Chief is the only surviving Spartan II left (All the others were killed in Halo 2, sorry guys.), but he has major reinforcements. The Covenant had long known about the Spartans, and had created their own Super Soldiers. These Covenant Super Soldiers were the most advanced of all Covenant races, were 4 times tougher than a Gold Elite, and were all extremely smart, strong, quick, and very aggressive. The best part was that there are plenty of these Covie Super Soldiers to go around, and they will fight alongside the Chief as Alliance Forces try desparately to save Earth.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know it's really long guys, but these are my ideas on what Halo 3 should be about (If there is a Halo 3). Please read all of it and try to understand the jist of the story before you either praise, criticise, or bash this post.

Thank You

NOONE (except Bungie) knows exactly who the Forerunner are or what they look like...

Once again, these are my ideas and thoughts. If you don't like em, cool. If you do, let me know.

WOW very long. ok I think that if the forerunners kicked covi ass we should clean up the bastards and tear their damn contract apart. that's like hitler crying to the jews that some other corn hole is gonna kick his butt, so the jews join his fight. not gonna happen.

I liked it, Seeing a human worker building a shipyard with a covenant engineer would be quite the site. But in all honestly, I would imagine that one forerunner vessel could take out 10+ Covie/Human ships, possibly even all of them considering the level of intelligence they have reached, as well as the vast army they must have(having dominion over a large part of the universe for several hundred milenia now.

Great Theory. I give kuddos as well. I never really thought of the Forerunners as that mean. BUT we know they aren't the most kind creatures because they set up the Halo system. Which basically whipes out all Sentient life in the universe (or as far as the rings reach). Which means that they aren't compasionate. OR it means that Forerunners made the flood and the Halo system before they were aware of Covenant, Human, and any other lifeforms out there.

Are there any "Super Grunts" like the "Super Elites?" They would be cool, except they'd probably only be as good as a blue Elite, so they'd get their asses kicked.

Anyway, GREAT ideas. I couldn't find anything that you left out. Except for the "Super Grunts."

I don't know if someone has already mentioned this, but I thought I had read somewhere that the Covenant were coming after humans because they looked similar to the forerunner. Maybe I misread like usual. Whatever though. I'll read the rest of it later, from what I started it looked pretty nice. Props man.
