think about it. you are being pushed AWAY from the center of the ring. that is definitely NOT gravity. also, it would have to be a lot larger than it is to have gravity equal to that of the earth. Because it is a ring, even if the diameter was equal to that of the earth, the mass would be significantly smaller, and it would have almost no gravity. Perhaps a little more than the moon. Gravity is based on mass, not size.

It could be really really dense, how big is it anyways? I still think its big enough to have gravity or it has artificial gravity generators.

now wer argueing about science heh?
oh well, halo is an artificial world.halo is a major mass that is bigger than master chef. so, there shouyld be gravity. Anyways, i went to the army museum at D.C , and thats were it said bullets are affected by gravity.

oh by the way, i'm gonna change the thread so it'll say:
visit the army museum if u don't believe me.

The Mard already explained that it isnt gravity. Just because something is bigger than MC doesn't mean it has enough gravity to hold him to it. Think about how bit the earth is, we can easily break free from gravity. Just raise your hand.

yes but we can't break away from gravity cause when we fall can we just suddenly break away?
also, the bullet is so small it should be affected by grav. (i think)

the ring has gravity in ways of centripetal force and centrifugal force. Because Halo spins, it creates those forces, and makes us stay to it. duh

You will fall fall at the same speed as that bullet if you are standing still. We do not break free of earth's gravity because we cannot create enough force to sustain use through the atmosphere. We overcome gravity when we jump. When we fall, all the force of moving upwards is use up. Gravity is a relativly weak force compared to the others in the universe. It is theorised that it is spread across all the dimensions, diluting it. I don't agree with their explanation of extra dimensions though.

true, but maybe bungie did that for fun u know?

now, the earth gravity is controld by the molecules compared to the mass of the earth. now a bullet has less molecules( thats why its so light). Now, when a gun fires, it directs a bullet towards its target. Right now, gravity does not affect the molecular mass of the bullet mainly cause the force pushing it is way stronger than gravity. however, who knows how halo works? and who knows that the guns are the same in 2526?

What?!!!?!?!?!!!! Mass is Molocules! You can't have one without the other. If you drop a bowling ball and an apple, they will hit the ground at the same time. It does not matter how heavy something is, it will always fall at the same rate. Weight is caused by gravity. Bungie may have made it so but why only with the pistol? I would assume that the basics of the gun haven't changed from no to then. Pull trigger, thingy hits bullet, bullet flys at high speed towards target. Unless they use an antidimensional space field emitter of course.

U What??????????? such a terrible site will cause ur grandpa to faint.

Yes, i also found a new way to kill. many peeps have a pattern to ther strafes, so first strafe around just try to doge. Then when u know ther pattern start shooting!

No, knowing my grandpa, he'll just get real p!$$#), and yell a bunch.

This is why I attempt not to have a pattern in my strafe, though I may fail...

Ioniz, your strategy does actually work, it is one of the basic skills of sniping. Anyone who plans on sniping should know how to do this.

WELL, U'LL NEED EXPERIENCE to know how to time ur shots. note: this is only for experienced playas who wanna improve a little, not for a Newbie . i think i'm gonna put that on me guide.

A for ur pops, hope he doesn't get toooo angry.

Gravity acts on anything that has mass - look at the equations. It also acts on light - you people should try reading a little on what you're posting about before you post something unintelligent. But we decided not to talk about physics, eh?

Obaten - good job for realizing why Halo actually has gravity - cuz the daggum thing spins like a merry-go-round. I'm surprised nobody else had thought to post that.

Because of the calculations involved and the recursive nature of the effects of aerodynamical drag, etc. expect your bullets to have a fairly linear trajectory. Translation: Stuff fires straight because anything else is too complicated for PCs.

because halo spins, the bullets will go down at the rate halo is rotating, this'll help peeps do head shots.

Halo spinning creates centrificul force (sp??) not gravity. If my dad went to that site, he would get all mad and storm around the house snapping at people, with me trying not to laugh too hard or too loud.

ALso, chewy gum, are u a good playa? do u know anything i might wanna addd to the guide?

He doesn't have much of a temper but he thinks he know all there is to know about comps but really he doesn't so that annoys him into angerness. Ya I guess you could say I'm a good player. I did put that weps guide in there, you might want to put something about how to keep from being shot but I think you covered that.

Well, I for one would link this thread to "The suckiest ways to die in multiplayer" so that noobs get a feel for what people think is noobish. Also, I would connect it to the "Lag guide" thread, for those who don't understand lag. Well, I guess most of my suggestions are threads to link this to so that you don't waste time writing things that you don't need too.

Yeah, I'll find those links if I have time.

For those of you keeping up with other threads, my grandpaw gave me a VERY angry call... But it was worth it.

we are argueing about how halo works. thats not science. halo doesn't exist.

Yes this guide is made for newbs and intermediate playas, not for experienced ones( the best)
