Mine would be...

Macintosh Dual G5 2.5 GHz processers, ATI Radeon X850 (PCIe, 16 pipeline), and a 30" Cinema HD display. A nice thing on the side would be an ergonomic mouse and keyboard (damnable carpal tunnel...)

Remember, this is a DREAM machine, not a fact

Wishing for one,
Yout3

well, we all hope Windows 64 can handle more than 1 GB.... and I think will do it with ease. Didn't think about the drives, but you willd efinitely need something better than a 500 W PSU for that particular machine. I also heard Pre-N is going to r0k, but I haven't experimented any with wi-fi yet, so I can't claim any knowledge.

and... kid? who the heck are you?

Nice, but not quite there....

Use the raptors 10k speed drives, in a raid array. You wont that high a PSU, a good quality 450 or 500 watt will be fine.

And while we're at it, overclock everything to hell and cool with nitrogen!

Nitrogren sounds cool - the BFG gfx cards come overclocked, and Mr B - you said nothing about physics cards (at least in your reply to me - unles I'm going blind... o_0). while the drives I picked may be slow, everything else is top notch as far as I know - So go drop 10, 20, or even *omg* 30 K on a comp so mine can eat yours for breakfast. (BTW, I'm told from a very reliable source who tests new hardware before it hits the market that RAID doesn't really enhance gameplay, its speed gains are seen most with transfers of LARGE files). Actually, I have obtained an estimate, and I am fully aware that most PSU's don't put out what they claim - I would need at least a 550 W PSU for that particular system. As for the 20k system - $20,000 - for an Intel chip? Somebody ought to slap you silly. As far as windows 64 not handling over 1 GB of RAM - please. Largest software producer in the world's new 64-bit OS capped at 1 Gig RAM? Buy stock in Apple.
