It seems to be common on these forums lately to ask for bookwriting advice- and so I too will exploit this capability.

My book is going to be sad- like a successful hero who does the right thing, and yet he hates his life for it.

My question is should I include romance?> It almost seems necessary to write a good book, but is that kind of fruity to write about it?

Could someone help me with this whole love concept? Guys and girls alike?

Write it from an immoralist perspective.

A lot of books start with an immoral chacater picking up moral traits - but rarely have there been books where the character starts off moral and finds immoralism is the way to go.

Thats brilliant! It fits with my whole plot too. But if he loses all his morals- should he still hold on to his love for a long lost love?
I am focused on the love thing because Im thinking about doing two very closely interwoven people fighting the same battle in different ways- on opposite sides of the world. So anyone think that would be "gruity" for me to add in the love part? or is it a good idea?

I wouldn't even have the patience to write a book, so I can't really give you any advice

But be honest- would you like to read a story with love in it? Or is that too dumb? This is all I need answered to start, although Obbi's idea was awesome...

I think love plots can be a good part of a story as long as its not the whole story. I remember Louis Wu and the alien woman in some kinda love from the book Ringworld for example.

I read a book like that. The same author wrote it both ways. It was a shame that I had to sell it because it was a graphic novel. I think that it's great idea especially for male writers who want to write romance.
