Cannon Fodder.
Hello,
I want to join an internet clan (or local group that likes to Halo LAN). I would HIGHLY prefer to clan/LAN with:
1.) Clean members: If your member list includes names like USuk, F___Off, P_tHead, PooPooMan, SpitFace, CaptainPud; or other name-calling or overt references to sex, drugs, body fluids, private body parts, body functions, etc.; I am not your guy. This stuff stopped being funny for me before most of you reading this were born; and people who do find it funny typically have other character traits that I find objectionable.
2.) Mature members: People who want to play as a team; but are supportive of each other, and not so bent on winning that they can't have fun if they are losing. (This, I think, would eliminate most males below the age of 18.) People who are not stuck-up, bombastic, insecure, nor think they are God's gift to Halo.
3a.) For Internet: Members who are typically online from 4p.m to 6p.m. Mon.-Thurs. and/or noon to 4p.m. on Sundays, U.S. Pacific Time. (Yes, I live on the West coast; but a Midwest or East coast clan might well be the best fit for my schedule.)
3b.) For LAN: Clean people (not into drugs, smoking, heavy drinking, etc.), in the Seattle-Tacoma area, whos' party times at least occasionally include Saturday nights or (preferably) Sunday.
4.) Members who would welcome me to fill in an empty team slot on the sporadic occasions I could join, but would not overly miss me if I could not be there. (I have a real life; and could be expected to join up maybe once or twice a week by internet for 2-4 hours in the summer; maybe less during the rest of the year. For LAN: 4-6 hours on Sunday or possibly late Saturday night, maybe once a month.)
5.) Peepul what kan reed, spel an tipe inglush langwage with out 2 mutch problims. U no wat I meen?
O.K., so now you know what I want. What do I bring to the table? Well the first line says it all: I am (Fuel Rod) cannon fodder. I have had Halo and my Xbox for about a month. After about 40 hours of game play, I am about halfway through the Maw on Normal: Horrible at sniping a moving target; bad reflexes; poor driving ability; and mediocre eye-hand coordination. With EXACTLY 2 hours of online experience with the PC (most in 16 player CTF), I have a record of 3 flag captures (and successful returns), about 8 kills, 3 assists, and have died about 79 times. I have very limited knowledge of Sidewinder, Blood Gulch (?), Cold (Something), and virtually no knowledge of any other MP map.
However, I intend to get better: Halo Heroic is my next step, and I intend to do Legendary as well as get in some more internet play. I have been told that I am a pleasant person to be around, and will not curse you for repeatedly blowing me to smithereens (even if we were on the same team). I am also a team player: Don't need the glamour jobs; just very much enjoy being part of a machine with good organization and a purpose.
Thanks for listening.
