FINALLY finished my painting from the cover of Ghosts of Onyx. I would advise you watch it at the maximum speed, and even then it's over four minutes long:

This was done entirely by me, entirely with a mouse. Towards the end I had so many lines over so many layers that the application was lagging my computer and the mouse wasn't very smooth, so it ended up being harder to do curved lines that straight ones. The left hand was pure agony, and probably ended up looking like the worst part.

Anyway, this was the result. Hours of work with the tab open over about a week. Hope you like it.

I just watched that entire video. The amount of time and effort you put into this piece is clearly evident in the final product. It's very well done. Great job!

"No I don't eat Vegemite. It's the Devil's own crap paste"

Wow, very nice. It's hard to imagine you did that with a mouse.

Thanks,

It's not all that difficult to use a mouse. I use a little trick to draw straight lines, then go around smoothing things out with the colouring and freehand.

To draw straight lines, left click where you want the line to start, then without moving the mouse right click. Hold both down and move the mouse to where you want the line to end, and release. Voila.

This actually draws two lines though. One long one, and another little smudge at the end that most people won't even see. It's not usually much of an issue to have that one smudge there, but it means you have to click undo twice straight after "Ruling" a line to get rid of it, and it also may contribute to lagging the application later on.

I wanted a gumball so I said "Yo devil you got change for a soul?"

Satan appeared and said "Yeah, yeah mosuckra! I got yo change right here just sign this contract and I'll give you your quarters!"

So I signed it, lost my soul, and got 4 quarters. I have never regretted this decision.
