The 3 ban related prefixes have different requirements, varying time and allowed ban lengths/counts. Exalted is considered "the highest" because you can't get any bans or warnings of any kind for quite a long time, which is harder than just being a member for a long time.

So, just for kicks, what does it mean when there are no prefixes before a title?

I have a question, do warnings/bans on an alt account affect the prefixes on another account using the same computer?

Hmmmm....I still don't know if I like them or not. I know I'm not supposed to care about them, but if I didn't care about them, why would we have them. Circular logic abounds. It's a silly little system. I'll enjoy it if I have to, but if they were gone, I'd be happier.

So your "Exhalted". That means no bans for a long while. But you are Heroic. Which leads me to believe that status is largely based on forum involvement. (Amount of posts)

Well his account was made in 05. I'm assuming that means no bans (or 1?) since then. However, he might not have too much forum activity, therefore he's a Heroic member. Makes sense.
Apparently he only has a 2.8301 post per day average. So yeah, it does seem to work out.

Not sure if it's completely settled out yet.

No bans, No warnings. I'm a decent enough guy. I know my Code of Conduct. Because I don't post a whole lot is probably why I have avoided bans so much. I'm just not the guy that has to throw an oppinion for every topic. Sometimes, I don't even know the topic or point of discussion well enough to give a decent opinion, so I just stay quiet.

But I'm not saying it doesn't work in my first post. I'm saying that I just don't know if I really like the system as a whole or not. I like it to an extent that it's moving more and more to a customization that you can directly affect(this seems to be the big new fad among game developers now days, so why not their site too?). That said, I also don't know if I like it yet because in a sense it does promote elitism(But what doesn't know days), it's a big "Gaudy", and it promotes people to simply just post "Yeah", "Ok" and "I agree/disagree" posts in an effort just to raise post count. These in no way promote discussion or benefit the forums.

Like I said, I'm not sure if I like this silly system. Part of me does, the part that enjoys being able to obtain a higher status than the rest of you(I know this isn't the purpose, but you would be lieing if you didn't act dissapointed when you were demoted at some point in your b.net life) but it's for those same reasons that I don't like it. I know that my oppinion will be overlooked and ignored simply because of my rank, and yes I'm guilty of this too. Generally I only look for Legendary and higher posts or familiar faces in all the wrong places in super threads breaking 10 pages. Doing this, I know, will only hurt me because I'm probably missing great points and opinions, but it's just how this system leads things along. It's a by product of the design.

Don't send me group invites.

I think a lot of my status has to do with forum involvement. I don't post much in the forums anymore, but I used to a crapload. Sometimes when I come back and post "a lot" for a few days I become a Heroic, and then after a few days of inactivity, I'm back down to a normal member.

I wonder how this new system will change with my activity.

Also, I think the guy that's a Mythic but nothing before is funny.

Edit: So...now I'm a Heroic. Yeah...they must be doing something currently.

While it may be a factor I don't think it's a very big one. I looked at one Mythic member and I post much more than they do and I don't post many one liners. This person posted about once a month and a lot of their post were short. They have also been here 30 days longer than I have.

I think I lost my Mythic status because I don't post in groups hardly ever and I only post in a few of the forums. I mainly post in Optimatch, some times in Halo 3 and every so often I post in Bungie General and Bungie.net Community. I'm thinking the fact that I don't traverse the site as much has some thing to do with it.

Also, I stay signed in a lot. If my laptop is on it's signed in to B.net. I don't post huge amounts. I would guess 5 a day or so lately and less a few months go. Yes I have the script but it doesn't work correctly for me. 8) Anyway, I wonder if that has some thing to do with it. I've never been banned or even warned.

And before some of you start I am not complaining. Just stating the facts. I don't feel robbed or any thing like that. I am curious but we already know that we will never know. This is not meant to be a negative post.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

The reason why he is Mythic and you are not is because his posts are 'safer' to the trust system. Your long but necessary posts may not be completely 'trusted', so your trust isn't as high as his, and are slightly below the Mythic standards. You shouldn't shorten your posts to be Mythic, just deal with the title you have. This to notnooborelite by the way.

I started not to even post that because of this type of reaction. It was not a complaint. I'm not mad, upset, feeling cheated or any thing. It was an observation.

On a side note your point makes no sense to me. Sorry.

I did not think you were complaining. And what I mean is if someone who is here a long time but posts very sparingly and in threads that are considered 'safe' to the trust system, then they will have a high member status if they keep up with the bare minimum amount of posts required. You may lose a point here and there for helping someone out in a thread, but those add up to put you just below the bar of Mythic Membership. I have seen this happen before, so I do know that it exists. Inactive members can sometimes keep their membership for a while, so you having more posts than them is insignificant, and if anything it hurts your trust. I could be wrong, but I have seen this be the case multiple times.
