I was Member, am now Honorable Member. Me wonders what that means. It probably has nothing to do with post count, as I hardly post.

Well... You've been here since '07 and use good grammar.
No surprise, really.

But I use good grammar and spelling too, with the exception of that last post you saw. I hardly doubt that it is based off of those issues alone, let alone be able to tell if every word is spelled correctly in a good grammatical sense.

Oh, and is anyone else having problems since the update with the quoting? It takes about 5 minutes to quote somebody in the post reply area when I click the button.

Do the prefixes have anything to do with the title bar color, or is that just relevant to the member status? (i.e., Heroic, Legendary, Mythic)

Yeah, I guess. Could have to do with ban history.

I think I am going to like this change.
I was a Heroic Member and now I'm an Honorable Member. Me wonder what that means =)

Whatever it is, I would like to see a FAQ sometime.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Posted by: Achronos
Yes, although they'll be very rare because most of the higher "base" titles usually qualify for a prefix.

And there are 9 prefixes in total, and yes, Exalted is the highest (clean ban history for a very very long time). We'll probably post a generic list eventually. The mods, including Duardo, do have a list of all of them, so Duardo will probably update his FAQ eventually.

Quick question, I don't know if I'm completely blind, but are there "Heroic Members, Legendary Members, and Mythic Members" any more without the prefixes?

I wonder what will be the lowest.

Taxes do nothing to affect the share of wealth, since taxes are only applied to income.

So that's not even a part of the conversation at all, so it's pointless talking about it....

"for a "best" moral to exist, there must exist the "best" moral base. If the base of morality varies from location to location, culture to culture...then there can't be an absolute moral..

i have not looked around, but my guess is that veteran is low in terms of fanciness and results from at least a handful of bans. but, that is based only on the fact that that description matches my own history and title.

Im not having any trouble with quoting, although i couldnt report posts for awhile.
Lets just let everything get settled in.

Yes. He said so in another thread.

Would that be the FAQ thread? I saw that post and he said there would be a lot less mythic members, legendary members, and heroic members, but that doesn't mean the system is stricter with who does and does not get a rank-up.

Either that or the previous system promoted people who should not have been at that level including myself and many others.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

A quick question,

Does being the author of locked threads count against your rank, even if the thread I created was appropriate and in accordance with the rules?

  • 11.13.2008 12:10 PM PDT

Edit: Whoops, disregard this post.

My guess is that the same goes for Fabled unless the ban history is wearing off over time now. It's been almost a year since my last ban but I have a few in my luggage which I am not very proud of.

Wouldn't "Absent Member" be the lowest?

I would presume as much, but that isn't very harsh and should only take a log in to fix.

Maybe since an absent member hasn't posted in a long time.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

I most certainly could be wrong, but I do not believe that being an author of a locked thread ever hurts your rank, unless a warning is issued.

PPPPPP--POWER!

Adds a nice spin to the forums I'd say. I wonder if Bungie is implementing this inorder to get its members to carry themselves a little bit better. I mean we all know that member titles are insignificant, but having a prefix now is a direct reflection on your own involvment and behavior.

I do believe, and I could be wrong here, that it isn't the last time that you posted that would determine that specific prefix, but rather the last time you logged in. I've gone a week without ever posting and still maintained my rank due to me logging in daily. So I don't believe that's quite it.
