Honestly who really cares about the new maps. Sure they'll
be fun for custom games and LANs but I don't really care
about being able to play new maps when I can't even play the
original ones thanks to standbyers. It really makes no sense
to spend any time at all on new maps when so many
legitimate gamers are ridiculously frustrated with standby,
glitches, and flat out nubish programming errors in Halo 2.
And then they have the audacity to charge for 2 of the 4 new maps
saying that "it takes development time to money to produce the maps
so we have to charge." Well Bungie I think you guys should suck
my balls. Why don't you spend that "development time and labor cost"
on fixing some of the games more horrendous errors, Standby anyone?
And they keep feeding us all this crap about testing and blah blah blah
Halo 2 was in production for more than 3 years(i guess) and you're telling
me that at no point during that time did your "thorough testing process"
uncover the Red always wins glitch. That is just plain embarrasing, thats
a high school code error. I mean Halo 2 is a great game, even when compared to its predecessor which everyone seems to still choose over
Halo 2. The fact of the matter is simple, Halo 2 is a more strategic game than was Halo 1. In Halo 1 you started with the pistol which was capable of dispatching a good number of MC's in quick succession, which made the game more focused on making shots than actual strategic techniques. Halo 2 by far outranks the original tactically by focusing more on strategic elements, like precise consistency of grenades to control enemy movement and radar baiting. In Halo 2 you can't just jump out into the middle of a firefight and expect to last too long, i mean realistically who would do that anyway. In Halo 1 this was many times a viable option since you could more than make due with that hand cannon called the Pistol.
I just hope that Bungie redeems itself very soon before customer morale
plummets completely and they lose all their credibility. STOP BEING
SLOPPY.
