i agree with everyone out there who supports bungie. They don't need to work on an anti-standby cheat, they don't gotta give us new maps. and who cares if they are similar to compaign, have you ever seen that level exactally before? they have been making these maps from day one, plus all the graphics upgrades, and fixing grenade and maylee bugs.
and if you didn't know, Bungie is recrooting people for jobs 'cuz they need more poeple to put up with all you others who are comlpaining. They are working on putting in as much as you ask for, and you are compaining that it took 6 months to make? wich isn't that long. Plus there will probably be a halo 3 for the x-box 2.
So be happy that 20 bucs is ez to make for 75% more maps, plus behind the scenes about making the maps, and bug fixes, and standby cheat fixes, and be happy that sooner or later all of it will be free. Plus now ppl on non-live can get all of this too. Bungie is not your average video game makers, they are trying to make you happy.
And why are they trying to make us happy? Because they're a business, and businesses want money. Happy customers = more customers which leads to more money. It's all ethics of business. If they didn't fix the horrendously numerous amount of bugs in Halo 2 many people would not get the third installment in the series.
And yes, Microsoft did double Bungie's staffing to get Halo 3 done for Xbox 2. If the rumors are correct, Bungie has lots of work ahead of them to get Halo 3 released when Sony releases PS3 (or they just need to do work, unlike Halo 2 where they screwed off for years before doing anything remotely constructive).
By the way, it doesn't take long to make a map. I'm just a beginner in map-making, but I can EASILY make a decent map in Unreal Tournament 2004 in a few hours, a good-great map in a few days max. Bungie made the game. They're professionals. It's not as though the maps they shipped with the game were even remotely balanced to begin with, so balancing what maps they could create in an afternoon after their lunch break probably didn't even happen. It really isn't that hard, I don't know why all you guys are saying that it wasn't a long time. Fixing a bug usually takes even less than a map does. They're way overdue for these cheat fixes that probably won't work anyway.
