Hey Bungie and Bungie members, most, if not ALL of you are unaware I make maps for Halo Custom Edition with a friend of mine, I come here today with a few things I want to ask bungie.
The map used in the pre-xbox halo trailer has sparked an idea I have for a single player style map for custom edition, what I am asking bungie is if they would provide the weapon, projectile, and other tags for the map as well as the marine, blind wolf (will become non rideable if I can make them so) and the strange beasts bipeds and "bone structures"
I don't know if you're willing to allow me to have and use the tags, but I wanted to recreate the pre-xbox halo level. here is what I am at:
The level starts out with the opening cut scene where the two elites get sniped by the master chief. the player plays as a marine, during which he/she will be in 3rd person to allow them to see alittle better. movement will have restrictions as the marine "bone structure" doesn't allow for horizontal movement.
The level has less of a grim ending than the trailer's, the player ends the level by accessing the interior of the structure, but the level of resistance will be high as the covenant will of course be trying to hold down the forerunner complex.
Yes the idea sounds confusing, but the main reason I want to do this is to allow people to see it, I know bipeds can be scripted to preform in a manner (thus making them AI), such as making a blind wolf a neutral creature and the spine beasts will be as well. the water is easy to add the effects to such as if you throw a grenade at it, the grenade lands in the water, doesnt bounce but floats there for a few seconds then sinks.
I also like the old Assault Rifle's look and sound which is another eason why im making this
peace for now
