Has anyone really stopped to think?

Stopped blabbing and questioning and worrying and clamoring and screaming and pulling and jerking and rioting and smacking and spitting and hissing and whining, to just sit and THINK?

To rest and marvel at the Access Tunnels in the PoA?
To gawk at the lush foliage of Halo?
To cringe at the sickening architecture of the Truth and Reconciliation?
To scream with rage mounting the LAAG and slaughtering the Covenant hordes barring your access to the Silent Cartographer?
To grit your teeth dog-fighting against the opposing Banshee blocking your path to the Control Room?
To quicken the pace and scramble through the infinitely eerie installation playing home to 343 Guilty Spark?
To pause and reload our piping hot 8-Gauge in The Library?
To take cover from the maniacal Spec Ops Chickens wieldnig the Fuel Rods guns while trying to make sense of the recent Two Betrayals at hand?
To whisper your final condolances to Captain Keyes?
To punch the throttle and ramp off the dorsal structure and escape the ominous, gaping, Maw?

Take a moment from eviscerating your fellow peers in Blood Gulch, put the flag at your side, and think:

"Just how much ASS can Bungie kick?!!!!"

Thank You, Bungie. For delivering upon us a most excellent and enthralling game. We all look forward in the deepest and most intense anxiety to the sequel to our beloved Halo.

NOTE:

HALF the time spent writing the original post was just putting all the titles into ITALICS.

And yes, the grass is most voluptuous.

umm Spartan 021. . . you've got something on your nose. Something brown.

Just kiddin' ya. Bungie did do a great job, but then again so have a ton of other companies. I don't think we should forget them either. SplinterCell (original and especially PT) , ubisoft gets major props. Nintendo. . . Zelda: Ocarina of time and all of them before are fantastic. Mario and Metroid get the thumbs up too. Half-Life, KotOR and so many others are all fantastic games.
Sometimes these forums give people the wrong ideas about games. There isn't one that's just the best of all time because there are so many that are incredible.

I think your praise should be directed at the gaming industry as a whole, rather than just bungie. Where else would nerds like us get alternate universes to live in when the mundane becomes just too boring?

I still remember the first time I looked at the ground in the Truth and Reconciliation and moved and noticed all the bump-mapping. It was a great moment.

I remember when I first played Halo, and I looked down at the grass and I said to my friend, "What the hell? Looks like Microsoft spent all their money of the grass!"
And that is when I came to release the glorious details in Halo.
Thank you Bungie.
