One thing that does make sence is that, Master Cheif is a short version of Master Cheif Petty Officer, I think, which is in the Navy. Sergeant Major in the Marine Corp is the same rank as Master Cheif Petty Officer in the navy. Sgt. Johnson is a Sergeant Major.
So if Johnson is the same as Chief, why does Johnson address him with the official "sir"
Example...Halo1-lvl2-Sgt Johnson...
"*sigh* Its a mess, sir. We're scattered all over this valley. I called for evac but until you showed up, i thought we were done for."
Or am i wrong and soldiers w/the same rank address each other with "sir" ?
Because that wasn't Johnson, just the same character model, only time you see the real Johnson is in the beginning cutscene, and on 343 Guilty Spark. Also, Navy is the only military that has Chiefs, I should know, my dad was a Chief.
Cant help but say this, but duh.
Im talking according to the game.
