xbc should work just fine, it's most likely your setup that isn't working. if you try the xbc help chat they can probably point you in the right direction.

For anyone that plans on playing on XBC, most people playing now are decent, so if you don't know random spawns, nade points and timing, I would highly suggest reading this - http://www.mlgpro.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2578476#post2578 476

I've recently posted that I was going to have a Halo: CE LAN party (NTSC & T1 Connection) in September with seven of my friends and we're going to host it on XB Connect before Halo 3 comes out. 2 XBOXs 8 people in total.

This new thread and post is in response to others that found the original a little too lengthy, so I've posted this new one that has been shortened and is easier on the eyes as some may put it.

Games
Anyways, we're playing mostly TS on Hang Em' High, Chillout, Rat Race, and Damnation. We might play some other maps and gametypes such as TS Rockets on Prisoner and TS or CTF Shotguns on Longest. We'll play anything you want.

How to join in on the fun
Anways if you're interested just pm me your username so I can send you more info and add you on my friends list. My username on XBC is TheUsualSuspect and I'll make sure to send you an invite when the game is up. You can also just post it on here.

Rules for attending
We're looking for at least 2 more peeps; 10 in total. It would be better though if you can bring guests, so we can have more people playing. Obviously, the goal is to play with 16 people, but I doubt that would really happen, seeing how we can only have up to 4 XBOXs connected.
We already have another person from these forums that wants to play and is bringing 3 others guests with him.

As of now we have 12 playing and we are wondering for the few that still play Halo:CE on XBC , you interested?

IM NOT SURE ABOUT MY STATEMENT.................
If u have a 2wire connect an ethernet cable
to youre xbox and get the xbox compatible and
connect it to youre 2wire...........the xbox
compatible might act as a support network
when the 2wire fails.the xc(xbox compatible)
will support the network and create a chat room
of gameplay....TRY IT!!!!!!

lol to laggy, lol not enough peeps on there, listen you need to have a good upload speed to host, at least a meg and join peeps with low ping and that means being close most of the time but not neccesary, ive played peeps in cali and florida and i live in indiana and ive played on xbconnect since april 2002 my xbconnect tag is [OU][812] and on live its OU812 so if you have any questions about it message me and i will answer them for you and i have a approved server VOP, so anybody want to play HALO1 (still the best online game ever...lol but pretty close), and yes i use xbconnect for H1 only the rest i play on xblive.

Hey, I need help with my setup. I'm using XBC, and I've done a few things, yet XBC doesn't recognize my Xbox. My setup is Setup B on the XBC Xbox Network Setups. I've configured my router to forward ports 8602 both incoming and outcoming to the internal ip address of my computer. I think the ethernet cable I'm using to connect my Xbox to my computer is a patch cable, but I might be wrong about that... would I need to have a specific type of cable for it to go through? I was reading the posts in this thread about crossover cables and patch cables. Wasn't the patch cable the one where the colors of the wires inside the cable were the same from one side to the other on both ends of the cable? If that is a patch, then I'm positive that's what I'm using. Also, if my Xbox is connected to my router, then it's not a wireless network, right? Everytime I tell XBC to look for my console, it asks me if the console is attached to a wireless network. I've said no, and it doesn't find it. I also tried yes, and it doesn't make any progress at all.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Halo 1>Halo 2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>Halo 3

Want to hear a funny joke? Marijuana prohibition.

Im confused on what an ethernet card is. Other than that, tell me if ive got this right:

I download the software, plug an ethernet from my xbox into my router, and have the program open while playing and I should be good to go.

Do a google image search for "ethernet card"

I download the software, plug an ethernet from my xbox into my router, and have the program open while playing and I should be good to go.
And your PC should be connected via ethernet to the same router. Have the program running and be in an available gameroom. On the Xbox you should be at the system link menu where you're given the option to create a game.
