i must ask, though i already am sure of the answer, but there isnt kinda maybe anyway i can play halo on xbox against halo on pc, either using halo for pc or putting halo for xbox onto an xbox emulator, i have a friend that would prefer it on pc while i like it on xbox (dunno y, i dont wanna argue bout y coz i dont know, im just better on xbox) and were having a big nerd fest (lan party)

There's no way to play against a PC player if you're an Xbox player, and vice versa.
so i would need a crossover cable in order to play system link also ,right?
That's basically what a System Link cable is.

There are no irrelevant quotes of historical figures here. Neither will you find any links, chain posts, memes, clan advertisements, self-promotions, or the tiniest of ASCII pictures.

So go away.

I'm a mac user and can't get aqueduct to install. Ahhhhh!!! I don't want to pay for xbox live!

Its only six dollars a month, jeezs you think its alot of money or something. Anyways, I find something really funny though. What the heck is this "honor" crap you guys are talking about in Xbox connect? You don't use cloaking, overshield, and rocket laucher? Now, what kind of stupid crap is that? I went along with it in one game, although the other people weren't doing what they asked me to do. They kept picking up the shield and the rocket launcher, and I still owned them without using my favorite desturctive weapon.

So, why bother playing a honors when people don't follow it?

I am joking. Is not real whining. I would buy xbox live by november 9th even if this did work for me.

.Also be aware that PAL and NTSC gamers will not be able to play with one another.

what?

PAL and NTSC are different specific file types for a computer, one computer uses one file type config , and the other uses the latter. in a "files for dummies" kind of thing, its like trying to connect from a PC to a Mac and vise versa.

Wrong... PAL and NTSC are two different television display standards. PAL is the European TV display standard, and NTSC is the American display standard.

Rushing the timer being a cause of lag is a myth in my experience.

I'll test it later today. But ive never lagged if I dont rush the time limit. Also one drawback is if you are trying to hit a moving target with the sniper rifle you have to aim a foot ahead of where he is, the bullets move slower for some reason. Or maybe thats just me.

Congratulations, you've just experienced...lag! Whenever you have to lead another player more than you normally would, that is lag. However, that kind of lag is standard in all XBC games, and is called "Bullet lag." Bad lag is when you lose the ability to move your character, or he reacts 1/2 second after you move the sticks. In my experience, rushing the timer causes bullet lag to be slightly worse, which means you have to really adjust your aim. Also, more bullet lag usually means more rocket glitch, so watch out for that too.

I play every day, so hit me up on XBC as eatmychoda, and we'll see how good you are.

Honors is the XBC standard for playing 1v1's. About 95% of 1v1's are honors.

Where can you get a cross-over cable? How much does it cost? Can you get it for free anywhere?

Cross over cables are pretty cheap. You can get them at best buy and depending on the length it can be $10 - $20. 7ft 15ft 25ft or u can go on ebay and get the pretty cheap but i havent seen them for free.

I have been playing xbconnect for quite a while now and the one major problem is that everyone always goes outside bounderies of levals, which makes it really hard for newbies. It seems as if you just drop dead!
