I don't like it. It makes it less realistic!:  49%

How many of you guys look on others screens? I don't mind because I do it. Camping becomes harder and it can give the "cheater" a disadvantage. Based on his slight lapse in concentration on his own screen. So of my friends go psycho on me if I do it, but I don't care. Anyway, if your friend jumps in a car, you can't help but listen to the engine. Is that cheating?

I hate that, it's not realistic. Sure everyone has the same advantages but it's just not cool. I compare it to the radar.

It really doesnt matter. if your playing split screen your most likely not playing ctf.
And so it mostly a DM game.So the point is to kill each other. Find the person by all means and eliminate him/her. I insist on people looking on my screen. Becuase there not gonna live long enough to look at anything again.

Simply put, if you look at my screen - or notice it - and respond to what you see on it.
YOU ARE A CHEAT!

Screen spotting is lame, shows poor sportsmanship, shows you are a poor gamer and player with NO skills. Come to the AGP and see if it does you ANY good, at all.

Some people accuse me of screen spotting, too!
But, after a few games on two+ boxes in separate rooms they change their toon!
Also, I notice that when I am in another room - THEY SCORE LESS!

So, screen spotting makes you lasy and worse at MP!

Also, YES this is a FLAMER! If you don't like it...
"Left Thumb Click" you!

On the contrary I play CTF with them. i reckon my friends have given up whining. Infact everyone used to do it apart from 1. I play CTF and look on screens. It can make the defence very intresting. Sometimes you need to make a diversoin while the TM goes for the flag. resulting in Heroic last stands.

What he said, people who screen look are lame to play with because: A.) They suck, but still dodge your [sniper] shots, because they can see where to move. B.) They accuse you of doing the same when you kill them, adding more to the noobieism.

For those of you who aren't snipers I can see why you wouldn't care, but its extremely aggravating having to go through an extra pain in the ass to kill some -blam!-ty player.

Hey edit that!

No noobie talk... well maybe it's ok in that context.

But, the point is... stick to the rules. No?

It is an unwritten rule with all those who play with me, if you screen spot you die, and die hard!

I WILL throw, not toss like your p****y a** screen spotting self would do, but throw your controller across the house, while you are getting it I am a**-raping your character every time it spawns.

OH i hate screen lookers! I'd be comin to there base with my camo/ rocket launcher combo (my favorite) and one of my friends would say, "Look out! Life is comin with camo and a rocket launcher, watch out!" I decided that we should use the link cable to hook up another xbox to another T.V. I was downstairs with my team, and I look up stairs and see my friend watching our screen! (he'd run upstairs and tell everyone what we were doing) lol, i hated that so much! His team members didnt listen to him and i guess they TK'd him a few times for screen looking! It was great!

I was not trying to sound like I am an elite in HALO. But, I do know that I am
better than any person that I have caught screen-spotting.

Nice come-back bay the way... sarcasm is very much intended.

Go pick-up an English book... I have ESL students (Japanese) that can write better than you.

I hate it when people look at my screen, its so annoying especially when i'm trying to snipe some people down, I've resorted to not even using the sniper rifle anymore, I hate it, but there is no way to fix this, even though I always win its still very annoying, I might get X-Box Live and thats where I'll rule, trying looking at my screen from across the country!

Oh, know what else really sucks! (this will offend sniper lovers everywhere) I'd b in blood gulch and get killed by a -blam!- sniper. I'd respawn, and .5 seconds later, I'm dead again! Myself and many other people in the gaming world call this Respawn killers Don't lie, all snipers have done it once before! OooOOo it pisses me off. I should thank them though, for the countless cheap kills they pulled on me, I have been able to dodge there fire (simply duck or jump or move left or right) and I can kill people with pistols at long ranges (great gun against snipers, cuz if you hit em, there of zoom and theyre screwd) I hate sniper rifles, I've only picked them up when I needed to show that I can kill some one with it. (I'm more of a... "rush in to close battle... (where you have no time to screen look ha ha cheats) ...and I'd kill atleast 2 or 3 before I die (always did have the most kills when i played in ctf, getting the flag and running away to me is boring) my point is, snipers, get some balls and fight me face to face (if you are a good sniper and good at close range battle, i sincerely apologize to you, for this message goes to all those cheap killing bastarts) ( :

Screen looking is ok. Games on larger maps would be boring without screen looking, because none of the players would be able to find each other.
The only reason people complain about screen looking is because they suck, and its the only excuse they can find for sucking.

The way i see it, if the information is right there, use it. they have just as much time and ability to look at your screen as you do to theirs

I play CTF all the time split screen, it may be lame and to unneventful for those who crave constant death/killing but it goes for a great game if you've got 4 good players in blood gulch of hang 'em high.

As for the screen watching debate. IT IS CHEATING AND FOR THOSE WITH NO SKILL, i dont mind screen watchers if they need to, 'cause no one wants to lose THAT bad, but if you are good but looking for an extra edge to take advantage, I feel sorry for how desperate you are to win as to cheat, that just plain sucks the fun right out of split screen.

[vent] I HATE screen lookers to death. They screen look all day long and after you win they sit there whining that you were watching them while you killed them. Although I do screen look once in a while when people snipe (I can't help a 10x zoom of someone shooting at a huge body walking and knowing its me - I just see it in the corner of my eye). The thing is they're so crappy that they say "OH YOU WERE SCREEN LOOKING I WAS WATCHING YOU!" - now come on, that's the stupidest thing for a person to say. They were watching you kill them, how dumb can they get? [/end vent]

Ah I feel better, now its time to go play some TS!

See i don't see screen looking as cheating. Due to the fact that the person i'm going against can look at my screen too, i'm not going to pretend their screen isn't there as i would expect the same back, and becos i look at their screen doesn't mean i'm lesser of skill, i learned how to dodge sniper fire way better in system link, after watching my enemy in split-screen. It taught me their patterns, now in link as long as i can see the sniper i can pretty much avoid being hit, but i f***in hate playing split-screen, so the most of the time when i'm playin it it's not a serious game. I consider myself skilled in system link so what does it matter for those bull-blam!- split-screen games?

I can't help but look on the other person's screen. But a way to fool them is if u know the map and u are not stupid just look at the ground and try to stay on a hidden surface. They will get frustrated and try to figure out and u will be able to surprise them and get an easy kill though I have never lost a halo multiplayer match and ever hard person I face seems like its as easy as twitching ur finger lol.

I could really careless, all it is, is a tougher challenge, and besides if the people your playing suck its not going to make much of a difference, they just wont wet themselves when you jump down at them or peg them in the head with the good old sniper
