Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one.

Knowledge is knowing Tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

There is no such thing as a bad decision, only good decisions based on flawed information.

One part of the game i always find scary is the Armory outside the engine room in the Maw. You need a rocket launcher for the exhaust tubes because it's easier then grenades (plus i like to surprise the spec ops team that comes down on the service lift... Mwuhahaha!). Only problem is you know if you stick around too long your gonna get attacked by the only thing worse than the Flood: Invisible Flood. I'm always in and out as quick as i can!

The first scary moment I had in Halo was in... T&R I was playing it on Easy (Yes I is an uber noob) When the hunters first come down from the grav lift they scared me to death when they were making my marines fly through the air with there left arms while shooting plasma bolts at me I kept screaming like a girl whenever one of those flew through the air! ahhhh those were good times..

P.S.
OH WAIT THE FUNNIEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME WAS THIS!
Ok in the Armory in the Maw me and a friend who was just learning to play and I didnt beat the game yet I was on the Two Betrayl's level so I didnt know it yet. We went into the armory and he says to me "Hey! (insert name here) can flood be invisible?" I said "No I dont think so anyway" he says "Oh ok imagine how scary that would be" suddenly one wacks him on the head and we both screamed like girls and booked it outta the room and we never wanted to go back in there again.. ever.

Man did Halo scare me. It was the first time got it and was running with the marine down the corridor and then there was that explosion. I jumped out of my seat and nearly hit my head on my roof. But now i laugh about it HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROFLMAO LOL

343 GS was creepy the first time through, but what really freaked me out was AotCR.
I hopped out of the tank, killed the two invisible Elites and the Grunts and Jackals, ran back, grabbed the invisibility and rushed up and out of the trench, past the Covenant, left my marines in the dust, running hell bent for leather at the door to get inside the next structure and when I got inside the door, the second Elite just froze.
The sounds of destruction and death as the Covenant slaughtered my Marines continued, and I slowly looked around the frozen Elite, wondering what the hell had just happened when he came back to life AND MELEED ME TO DEATH!

That was scary.

No, we're just not afraid to admit our weaknesses.

So, yeah. I don't get "scared", but I do get into the game. I feel like I'm really running around killing things so my pulse quickens, my senses become hightened, and I get so intense. But there is something that happened that scared me half to death. I was playing on my old TV on the T&R. When you're in the big room with all the Marines and nothing around, I was sitting anticipating everything. Kinda jittery. Well, when they came, I was blowing them all up, but then I saw the gold elite. He was right around the corner when I noticed him so I was a little close for comfort. Anyway, he lunges at me with his sword. I tried to move out of the way, but he hit me and I died. Right after, and I mean RIGHT after I died, my TV popped, the tube inside exploded leaving a black explosion mark on the inside of the screen, and it started smoking. Talk about bringing it to life.

Ok first, lebo47 your absolutley right. You know where you start marathon in that rocky place?? Well, I started, and I was getting used to the controls, and I noticed a shimmer in front of were you started. since I had fog on, I slowly walked closer, and then was like "HOLY -blam!- DIE!!!!!!!!" to the red AI thingy thats hologram was there... man that was funny. Then, after I started travelling, the dudes with pointy sticks didnt bother me, but at one point, I cam upon this guy with a cape, and I was like "son of a -blam!-" and i just kept shooting. Oh yea, when I first got my Xbox and Halo (I didnt have broadband back then...) I was really noob, so I am playing through on Normal (easy was for SISSIES!) and the parts that had me frieking out were the 343GS (god damnit that movie sets the mood) and The Library. There were so many times that I was just sweating going OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD!!!... its funny to think bout it!

The entire fleet is engaged Cortana, with respect what the hell sorta reinforcements have you got?

this aint really scary in the way you meen but i found it sacry in they way i was fearing that i may die, straingly more usual,
i was playin Co-Op on "halo" leval and we were killing all the marines, my friends idea, hes such a traitor. anywho we got to the bitwith the load of marines in th rocks and where for or five dropships come down. we decided we needed a chalange so after killing all the marines with the last of my sniper rounds. we wondered into the back dark corner of the rocks and waited for a few fof the dropships to land, then tried to kill em all, we didnt have a hog, mr traitor droped it down the light brige. it was just our rifles vs a ton of covies. it was the hardest thing ever. nowere to run nowere to hide. covies everwhere

I was freaked out in level 343 Guilty Spark when you walk into one of the rooms and the deranged Marine starts shooting at you with the pistol. I put him out of his misery like any good teamate would do (even in the sencond novel Halo: The Flood the MC just told him to run away). I was also freaked out for a sencond when you hack into one of the rooms and the then dead Pvt. Jenkins falls into your arms and you watch his death by the Infection form of The Flood through the video chip in his helemet.

i tink dat there were really 2 times in halo that i was really freeked out: that one time on 343 GS (if it hasn't been used enuf), and the time wen u first see the hunters (which i will describe to u in detail). i was just casualy driving my warthog up the hill, smashing little grunts and jackals as i go, and the hog is suddenly fliped by a FR bomb. so i'm sitting there cursing my little butt over to a convenient bolder, and i look over the rock and i see my very first hunters (wich i wud probably be laughing at now because their FR guns were going crazy). i think i ended up dying that first time in some stupid charge at them (and i learned that its stupid to charge at a hunter after i was dead.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

I would say 343 GS and the Library were the most scary levels. I remember the first time I played Halo it was with a friend and he took me to those levels. Let's just say I got more friendly kills than flood.

The bad thing was i hunt and everything in a game feels so goddam real. I hate fighting on my own i mean with another person i am uber-calm. I am just really super tense like i was playing wolfenstein yesterday and my friend was watching. I went round a corner and was surprised i flew back and then nailed the guy but my friend had never seen me do it before so he was pretty scared of me from then on!

Im wondering, did any of you play Silent Hill 2 through the dark (in winter) with a thunder storm??? Don’t look like it, your talking about halo being scary I don’t think so in a million years! Even if it is dark and 1 light was on/non at all! I had to turn my PS2 off when playing Silent Hill 2 for the 1st time ever! I didn’t even complete it (I sold it a month later to my aunti) by that time the thunder was dieing down a bit... then I walked round a corner or walked into a room and silence fell...silence...you know how much that can F**k you up, then something happened (I think a loud noise outside or on the game, I dunno, I just leaped for the PS2 switch and turned it off... I didn’t play it after that now, im not one to be scared much at all but that really did...

Halo never scared me...well. i never knew about the marine in 343GS. i just thought i would stay in the dropship and see where i land. i was walking around the level and all the sudden i see a shadowy figure in the distance. i screamed and threw the controller down...

XBL: FTG Spartan
But you were dead a thousand times. Hopeless encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting in to an infinite pattern.
Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild.
Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.
I know who you are.
You are Destiny.

I have to say mine was on AOTCR. My friend and I did the banshee glitch and flew up to that last part of the level where the doors open adn there is teh gold elite and grunts. Then we had an idea. My friend ran at the gold elite then started running away and the gold elite followed us halfway down teh structure then stopped cuz the AI doesnt let it go that far, but if you melee it once it'll jump up and then it will be over that invisible barrier that won't let it go farther and it chases you. We got down to the snow and started climbing up that skinny ledge that takes you way up to the top. All of the sudden my friend dies and I turn around and suree enough teh gold elite is chasing me up a damn slanted ledge and I'm running for my life he just jumped up there at the bottom and chased me, it was nuts.
