The cover article of the November 2002 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly is about Halo 2. In that article, several new features of the game are mentioned. Some of them are features that have been speculated about on these forums... Why are people arguing about the existence of these features/facts if they've already been confirmed 1.5 years ago? Here are some of the things I'm talking about:
-Sprinting.
-Leaning using the D-pad.
-Combo melee attacks.
-We won't see MC's face.
-The Flood will return.
-The game WON'T take place entirely on Earth.
-ATVs will be in the game.
-MP will include flying vehicles.

There are tons of other interesting facts that I've never heard mention on the B.net forums (and I've been reading the discussions here almost daily for a month), like the possibility of changing the Scorpion so you can drive while aiming 360 degrees around. Grenades might be "manually detonated"... Which means that you continue to hold the L Trigger after throwing a grenade, and let go when you want it to blow.

Has anyone else read this issue? Have some of these ideas been publicly announced as scrapped? Give me some answers (please)!!!!

I've had the same thoughts for a while now man, but I guess people are still new to the Halo world.

I wouldn't put too much stock in a game magazine that's 1&1/2 years old.
Bungie has repeatedly said that everything in the game can (and most likely will) change before it's finished and put in our hot little hands on November 9th.

When all else fails, go with what the Official Bungie Halo 2 FAQ says. It's the only law right now regarding Halo 2.

That does not mean you're wrong, by the way.

Cause it's 2002. Many things get changed (it's been 2 damn years!). That's why.

Yes we know that man, but the magazine is technically only 'stating the obvious'.

It's like the people who argued the Brute's as being a seperate group of aliens that would fight you and the Covenant. Or the people who argue over the pistol only to say that just cause there was a new pistol in First Strike that it doesn't matter! People can be pretty ignorant and stubborn ;-)

Which, when you think about it, is what a lot of these forum threads eventually boil down to in the end.
