Man i'm just getting sick of this obsession on PC games with everyone who gets the game "has to get in a clan" quick, or...the armegeddon will come and wipe out the last remnants of humanity... seriously though on a scale on good people i'm at least in the top 85-90% of people online who are the best (0% not being able to kill anyone, 100% being able to kill anyone, sry if it looks like i'm bragging, im not) anyways i wasen't in a clan for over a year since i've owned this game, and i've only joined a clan recently cause when i was at my friend's house last week we decided to form a clan, anyways just to prove this point, when i was AT that friend's house last week after we decided to make our clan (AFK) he hosted a clan tryouts game, first on bloodgulch rockets, then hangemhigh snipers, then on wizard slayer, and i'm not kiiding u the worst player I"VE EVER seen online joined the game, and stayed in it for all 3 games! He was just AWFUL at rockets, he was actually okay with the pistol, and was just rediculously bad in slayer, my friend who was playing was killing him and another guy with melees, and my friend's not as good as i am :) Well in the end we discovered it was his first day playing the game but even still it just goes to show u this obsession with clans, along the way in those games after we promptly told him no in the rockets game, he asked us at least another 10 TIMES if he could join our clan, i wanted to tell him HELL NO U STINK, but my friend just said u need to practice and maybe after a few months... anyhow this guy should've been in a server with the title "noobs come here" that way he can at least learn to get better. But really what this post is about is the fact that people feel they "have" to be in a clan.

i'm not part of a clan, but that is not to say noone has offered to let me join. i just...idk, i'm afraid of commitment. since i'm sitting on this side of the bench, i find it hystericaly funny that people will try that hard to join a clan...on the day they get halo

Tch, I'm your Lone Wolf type, and the only reason I join Clan Recruiting games is because no other games are up. I have long been considering the XCX Reborn clan, but I don't like the idea of being tied down to a group...

Me, I am part of a clan and proud of it. I dont feel the obligation like some of your guys do, but I wanted to be part of it. After months of waiting, I became a full member and it was worth it. And its a good clan, not some 13 year old kid at his house on his cheap pc. Well, people are constantly asking if they can join and become members right there and then, and the funny thing. When we tell them the steps, that there is actual work to be done so that the person can actually become part of the clan, they skedaddle faster than I can kill them while they stand still. So yeah, people join so that they can become someone with a tag, but most people, dont want the actual work part.
What really makes me mad, is that the day after I became a full member, my dad cuts off almost all my connection to the net. I barely have access to normal web pages. And since he is a programmer, he really knows what he is doing, and no matter how much I try, he thinks that IRC, xfire, TS, AND halo are all real easy ways for viruses to get into his system and I have been using those things for over 5 months. Makes me want to punch him. The real reason is because he wants all the broadband.

No, to get better you have to play with godlike hotshots like yourself. At least your friend has he common sense he was born with and was polite to the poor new guy.

lol, I'm in a clan, but I can't find any of my clan members. The leader lives in the UK, and I'm in the US. Ummm... yeah, we're on at different times

I joined a clan once, actually 2. The AE clan which I quit promptly after learning it was the american eagles cause I'm canadian and was feeling very anti american at the time. Wasn't an involved clan either, probably some guy said "I think I'll start a clan so I can put this cool symbol infront of my name!". The other one I joined was the Dragons, which seems alright but it seems we were on different time zones so all the meetings I was supposed to go to where when I was asleep. Now I've decided not to join a clan. I have had plenty of offers before though.

Well, I would say on jman's percentage part, i'm somewhere around 60%-70%. Most people i can pretty much do ok with. I have been in 1 clan, which had no definite name, as its tags shifted frenetically. there were no meetings, was no feeling of community, and most of the people sucked majorly. I ended up just quitting. I have had numerous offers thereafter. I am currently without tags. I have found a clan i feel like joining though, so i'm tryin out tomorrow :)

STILL WORKING ON THE F!@#$%^ LATIN,
Yout3
