Well there is a Bungie.net Website/Forum feedback Forum it's called the Septagon. Also a search feature is coming Soon™. Until then you can bookmark your threads or something along those lines. Also please don't use the word Noob or any variation. It's not a B.net rule, but the Mods will still A. Scold you B. Temp ban you C.Perma ban you.

EDIT: The weekly news / ask Frankie thread is in Zanzibar or New Mombasa I think can't remember.

Subject: About the forums

Hi all.

I was looking for a forum dedicated to feedback and tecnical stuff, but I couldn't find it. So I thought this seemed like the best place for that, hope it is.

I don't know if its my n00bness but, I haven't been able to follow a thread of interest to me. Everytime I come to the forums everything has changed, I can't find a way to locate threads where I posted before or anything. Never even seen any reply to my posts.

I used to post a lot in a deceased Andromeda (TV show) forum. That was very cool, had options to show the threads where I have posted, where I've been replied to, the ones I've read in the past X days. plus search engine by topic or poster. Man those forums were specially easy to follow and very fun.

If any mods read this could you pleas at least take a look? you can find information on this system in:
http://www.prospero.com/

at least some of those features would be very much apreciated here to greatly enhance the experience of bungie's forums...

If you're not a mod, could you post how you feel abut this forums? I don't know if I'm the only one feeling like this. I just hope I get to see this topic again.. :P

Feel free to message me with comments on how to find and follow this thread.

Thank you.

Oh! by the way... how do you send questions to Frankie or any of the guys that answer to them in the news in the index page?

Discipline is my Sword,
Faith is my Shield,
Do not leap blindly into uncertainty,
And you may live to reap the rewards.

See the problem with implementing such features here is that there is almost no other Forums as large as the Bungie.net ones. The amount of Members, let alone actual diff threads is unthinkable. So to implement such features it's much harder, most that run now would crash if run here, so Ideal Science, the people who do Bungie.net's Forums are in development of one that wont suck or just straight up break. Only thing we know on the time table is soon.........

Hey, thanks for your replies.

sorry about the "N" word, just seen it so often I thought it was ok, plus, I've just been to the forums for a few weeks... so I guess I qualify...

If the forums are so large, could they be broken into different forums? i.e. one for halo 1, one for halo 2, one for other bungie games... etc...?

I can't find much use of the forums beyond reading what others say, not really posting and getting answers to my posts, views, questions, etc.

Thaks again.

oh, by the way, is there any wey I can change my bungie.net screen name? now I'd like to make it the same as my GT.

I know, just somebody said the search features could not be done because of the ammount of posts and members here, quite frankly I don't buy that "numbers excuse" too much, but if it comes to be a problem, they could make them into separate forums absolutely unrelated to each other...

Well... thanks but I'm gonna have to bill bungie for my gastritis (sp?) I get all anxious waiting everytime you announce new cool stuff :) starting with H2.

By the way, on those prospero forums, theres a very useful function that numbers all the posts in a thread, and then uses the numbers to show which are replies to which... very useful, cuts the need to quote.

Not when you have someone on page 112 replying to a post on page 12, or replying to more than one post.
And the new cool features will include the Best Search Ever™.

Ok, well... I'lll just sit tight and wait for all those new features... eagerly.

Thank you for all your replies!
