Historicly, NES... cos it's were the creatator of most of the technology gamers take for granted made their first revolutionary games, none other than RARE. I know they made games before the NES (FAMCOM), but Donky Kong Country has to be the grandaddy of modern Platformers. Also the N64, because goundbraking ideas were developed on it. The N64 was the experiment, today's consoles are the final version. What I meen by that is games like Conkers Bad Fur Day, one of the first games which had full face movement, ans=d defining face features (on Conker). This was later adapted by PC games and other consol games. Not that the revolution of 3D is somthing to behold, but PC did it first, and a PC is not a console by the way.
