If you really have some time to Kill, Pick up the Wheel Of Time Series, 11 books, and counting.

nnnnoooooooo!!!
if you like getting a sense of accomplishment from your reading, i would recommend not reading this series. you said you'd be happy with reading about a blade of grass that MC stepped on, on the way to a warthog? well, you get at least 6 books worth of the equivalent (i've only read the first 6) in this series.

I thought you might chime in... While the last three (books 8,9 and 10) were a little slow, the Prequel (a new spring) shed some light on the first few books, and I found it to be entertaining, and a easy read(finished this morning).

Like I said "IF" you have some time to kill pick em up.

Not the way I read. If I pick up a book, I read like I'm possesed, and I'll finish a 400page book in less than a day.

Read the Halo books again. I'm about to start reading The Fall of Reach and First Strike for the third time. I'm not going to read the Flood though since I've heard the story of Halo to many times and I've already read it twice.
