Does any one think that the grunts rebreathers may be the reason the grunts have high pitch voices?

could you just think of a deep voiced "run away"?

lol does methane do that do voices like helium? well I dunno but if a grunt said something in a low voice it would seem a bit stronger =P

What would really be awesome is to shoot the methane tank itself, creating a big explosion. Sweet.

The grunts could not speak. they would breath for air then suffocate. Unless of course some guy just farted.

well actually if the grunts breath in a way at all similar to the humans, they wont use up all the methane they breathe in, so theyll be dead after about 1 minute, but their voices would change, becasue earth-normal air and methane have different densities, that why helium does that, because youre not breathing out air, but helium! my chemistry teacher explained it the other day.

It would be cool if you shot their tank and gas spewed out of it making their voices slowly get deeper until they start gasping for methane and suffocate on the floor.

We all want this in Halo 2. After all, grunts aren't soldiers they are clowns put there to amuse us as we effortlessly annihilate a group of them.

PS. We need a bigger groups of grunts. Like 20 all nicely lined up in a corridor with two SMGs placed right in front of the corridor. Bliss.

Speaking of low voices a grunt with a gaping mouth AND a low voice would scare the kay-rap out of me. Jesus that's freaky. Come on.. I'm not talking Samuel L. Jackson.

Grunt: YES THEY DESERVE TO DIE AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL

Okay. I'm talking about...like. . .that....one master dude from Spawn yeah Malvolgia? (sp?) voice ( if you've seen that movie) or some other freaky deaky movie yeah. that voice. -shudders-

I was actually a bit surprised about the appearance of the grunts facial structure without their mask on. For the sake of continuity at least. Remember the beggining cut scene to the assault on the control room? The aerial insertion from underground. You see a grunt patrolling around and right before the pelican becomes visible the grunt is rapidly sniffing around as if they had a very overdeveloped sense of smell. To see them unmasked with such an underdeveloped nose was quite shocking to say the least.

Well since they breathe nasty methane I guess they can smell anything else very well after smelling something so putrid for a long long long long long time.

Kill them with Axe.

methane is scentless. (I'm pretty sure thats right anyway)

Methane is not fart-air, its only part of it. The other chemicals stink, not the methane :P

I thought he started breathing heavily because he saw you ship and got scared not because he wanted to smell you coming.
BTW he got that avatar on page four i think they made some new ones if you didn't know

Funny yet not what was one my mind.
I was thinking of a methan enviroment where master chief would be the only human who could maintain life(due to his suit) so the grunts would have no rebreathers.
