I have noticed a lot of people that think or want to dual wield swords have been posting a lot of -blam!- about it. Well here's my -blam!-. I was wondereing if anyone else thinks it would be cool to have a sword in one hand and, oh let's say, an SMG in the other? Imagine: a Brute is launching grenades at you and you can't get within sword range, so you ventilate his skull from a safer range. Then a gold Elite is too close to take out with the few rounds left and no time to reload, so you slap him around with the sword. Good idea, bad idea, you tell me.

well it counts as a two handed weapon...for balanse and its also big as my, er, well its really big as a weapon. you idea explians exactly why it would be too powerful if you could hold another one in one hand. hell, wouldnt it be cool to use a sniper rifle and shotgun at the same time? yeah, but it aint happening.

tho i thought itd be cool if you picked up the sword/shield combo as one weapon, thatd be cool as a peanut butter and banana sandwitch.

If it's two handed, why is it held with ONE HAND?! It's a little rod with energy comin' out of it, it can't be that heavy! Energy has no weight! It's like wavin aroud a big ass feather, but this feather kills people.

Besides, two swords at a time doesnt really interest me. They would get in each others way. But an SMG, why not. It would look cool.

actually, not to damage your hopes and all, but that idea would be better if it stayed up your bum and didn't plague the rest of us.

your sig is -blam!-, too long, would waste my time reading it so i don't

btw, any idea that i put forward would be absolutely legendary...something bungie would never think of...probably because i don't work for them.

Technically, you wasted more time complaining than you would of if you just read it.

But, ignoring this spammer now, I think people would abuse the dual wieldable swords and use them togather making them suck. Besides dual wielded, they wouldnt recoil (obviously) making them unbalanced and more powerful than the already powerful shotgun.

i said it'd work for me. i didn't say for anyone else did I? that's because i'm the only one good enough to deflect them.

here's an equation for you all
my reflexes>>>>>>>>everyone elses reflexes

What type of equation is that? Did you flunk out of third grade or something?

  • 07.06.2004 2:33 AM PDT

SB-117

Thats not an equation, its a false statement. Everyones impulses travel at the same speed before you start to tell me that i'm wrong. (equations are questions not solutions)

Dual Wielded energy swords dual wielded and deflecting bullets? Clearly you don't understand the core of Halo's gameplay, thus, you havent played it enough, thus, you are not as good as you say you are.

No dual wieldable swords and certainly no bullet deflecting.

you know these mathematical symbols:

= (equals)
> (larger/greater than)
< (less than)

and combining about 10 of these ">" would be about 10% of the actual equation but i didn't want to put all 100 of them.

You are once again making a complete ass of your self. The sign > doesn't mean better than. You think you know what you're talking about but you don't. No need to take your stupidity out on others. elmicker was right.

  • 07.06.2004 2:57 AM PDT

SB-117

True, its greater than not better than meaning that it works off quantity not quality. And time is measured in quantity. Meaning....your reflexes take a longer time. You should think things through before you start spamming.

Now that this has been discussed I suggest we get back to the original topic.

Anyway, before a complete idiot arrived, I think carrying an SMG wouldn't make it very unbalanced. I also think you should be able to see very noticible gashes after slicing something. I know Bungie isn't big with sickening gore but the sword SHOULD make a slight exception.
