Let's not make this another console-bashing, please. All the consoles are good in their own right. To stay on topic, I think if someone was interested enough in Halo/Halo 2 they would've bought and Xbox already, although some owners of other consoles decide to think that Halo is ALL the Xbox has, and become hesitant to purchase one.

halo helping to convert those foolish gamecube and ps2 owners from there deluded ways

baka, I love my gamecube (don't have a PS2 yet) just as much as my XBox.... and my gameboy advance has more games then it too. (Majority of them are ports from the NES and SNES saga's, whcih are considered my favorite games of all time)

I think I can sum it up
Gamecube= fun, kinda childish games (nothin wrong with that Pikmen ROCKS!)
XBox= an assortment of fun gaMES
ps2= I always look for racing games on PS2

this is my opinion of the consoles.

heres my opinion

Gamecube - fun good old Nintendo games (mario, zelda and the like) and a buncha childish games (again, pikmin rocks!)

PS2 - final fantasies and thats about it, part from crash bandicoot, which is available on xbox, virtually no independant games left on it, theyve all sold out to xbox, i.e. grand theft auto.

Xbox - amazing online capabilities, hard drive a huge plus, sets the graphical standard (i just checked out the latest killzone pics the edges of the characters are actually pixellated, roflmao!!) and has halo, and halo2

And i own all three so you can take my opinion as law!

I personally am going to buy the xbox later this summer when i have enought money. The only games im gonna get for it will be halo 2 and fable (and maybe halo just for -blam!-s and gigles), I have a gamecube right now and i couldnt be happier with it, its just a different style of games...

My opinion of the consoles (don't hate me if it isn't like your views)

Nintendos GameCube: I used to love Nintendo, but when the leader of Nintendo specifically said that their games would be more childish and sports related, it fell down the -blam!-ter. GameCube in my opinion is meant for 12 and under. For me, I have dubbed Game Cube
-blam!- 'm' Cube

Sony's PS2: A very good system. It's still in the running, even after it being older then the rest. PS2 Has a good assortment of games. But unfortunately, their lack of tech and online play is starting to kill the PS2. I still find the PS2 a good console

Microsofts Xbox: The best of the 3 systems in my opinion. People say halo is the only great game. (Hell no!) Xbox owns all the good games the PS2 and -blam!-'m'Cube have, + more! And, in the winter, Xbox is coming up with a powerful allignment of games! (better then all of the other games) Thus, leading to the form that Microsofts Xbox (also owning some of the best gaming companies) is the best of the 3.

I bought an Xbox because I saw the excellent prototype (why couldn't they have used that fine chrome X?). Halo didn't affect me. In fact, I very nearly didn't get it with my launch-day Xbox (I ordered it before I saw the special OXM Xbox preview edition), and only chose Halo because I'd heard something about it.

I think that they all have their own unique qualities... the xbox is just all around goodness, the PS2 has some awesome games(which now are all being put on xbox anyways) and the game cube does have some games that are not on either systems and it also has a much lower price than the other systems. The main thing I hate about gamecube is the controllers, I mean they just don't fit my hands at all and I really have the a being all giant and the b button being really small I mean what is up with that.

♠The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's friend's enemy♠

Gamecube = Not really alot of good games, but it has Super Smash Bros. which rocks!

PS2 = Just sucks, except for 2 games, Oni and Tekkentag, without those it's a very sucky console (I didn't really like Grand Theft Auto)

Xbox = Uh, Halo, Ninja Gaiden, and alot of others.

Xbox: sets the standard for power and performance now, great FPS, Racing and others
GC: 2nd in performance, classic games, Super Smash Bros.
PS2: Oldest, least powerful, and fuked up controller. L2? R2?

I've played every ps2 game every xbox game and most gamecube games. In my opinoin gamecube doesnt have enough good games ps2 is a little light on the grapihcs and break too easy (in my experience) and xbox is great for my kind of gamer, shoot em up kind, and ive dropped my xbox countless times (twice off a moving bike) and its still fine.

The X-box is easiely killed by dust.

And dropping it can't be good for the harddrive.
