Similar to a Warthog Jump, all entails in using Grenades being under the Shade. With a single Grenade, it never seems to get too far so its usually best to do co-op game and pile some grenades up underneath it.

If you want to jump, you have to be sat inside it meaning an Overshield Powerup. You use the charge-up of the Overshield because at that point you are invinicible.

Jumping (more like flinging) can also happen by standing next to the object (in the flinging case its more likely to be a Warthog) and blowing it sky high. If you jump away from the vehicle while doing this you can be thrown high in the air.

Jumps usually occur in Campaign by using Co-op mode. Find an area (if you want to be in the Warthog/Shade at the time you need the Overshield) that is quite clear and free of enemy threat. Both players head in the same direction hunting for grenades. WHen they are as fully stocked as possible they come back. One jumps in the Warthog/Shade and the other kills him. His Grenades fall underneath. Then we respawns and you get in, and he kills you. You do this until you have as many grenades underneath as possible. Take a Plasm Grenade to start it off (to be inside the Warthog/Shade, this is the point where you need to grab the overshield and jump inside!). BOOM! Its goes sky high!

Jumps in Multiplayer always occur from live explosions. It entails in lots of people getting explosions under the vehicle because grenades do not blow up when around other explosions in Multiplayer.

Flinging usually occurs when all fire is concentrated at one side of the vehicle and the vehicle is slightly immobile (usually trapped in an opening, like the ground floor entrance/exit of Blood Gulch). You stand at the opposite end to the explosion and jump away at a precise, timed moment. It will fling you high up into the air.
