I have an Xbox at home that I have been playing campaign. I went out to a local wargaming place and played PC Internet Multiplayer for the first time, yesterday. Lots of humiliation for moi...

Anyway, I noticed (and used) two weaps that I had not seen before: A flamethrower; and another gun that looks sort of like a rocket launcher but shoots a plasma (?) charge. I went to the official tutorials here at bungie.net, but these weapons are not mentioned. Can anyone give me a short tutorial on the correct names, power, range and tactics associated with these weapons?

Also, there were some maps (e.g., "timberland," or something like that) that are available in PC internet multiplayer; but I don't see them in the official helps. Has there been an upgrade to the internet games that is not covered in the official guides on this site (bungie.net)?

Finally, in one of the CTF games the bases have two levels and are circular. The second level consists of a ledge ringing the interior of the base and another narrow raised path running through the middle of the level. The flag is in the center of the middle path, and grenades spawn at either end where the middle path connects to the ring ledge. I was on this ring in the enemy base, with enemies down below on the inside of the first level. They were jumping and shooting at me. I had lots of grenades, so just started unloading them down into the first level, thinking all sorts of hell would break loose in 3 seconds. Well, it didn't seem like any of my 4 or 5 grenades (except one) went off, and the jumper (or someone behind me) eventually killed me. Is there a game bug here? Oh, and does anyone know what map this is? (Yeah, I know, I should be able to tell YOU; but I played lots of maps and wasn't paying attention.)

Thanks to anyone that wants to answer a portion of this...

im not able to help u on the map thing...i wasnt paying attention(so many mads and maps now, i cant tell)....but the weapons are new. they are exclusive to Halo Pc, so dont worry, and the reason Bungie hasnt posted it is probly cuz they arent gunna waste time modifying something that doesnt matter much(thats Gearbox's problem) when they are trying to finish Halo 2

About the weapons, the first is the flamethrower. Its pretty powerful and can toast infantry and vehicles rather quickly. But its range is very short, so it is very useful in base defending. The flames can also bounce off walls. The second is the Fuel Rod Gun. This is the gun the Hunters use in campaign. It is very powerful but is more like a mortar that a plasma rocket launcher. It has an arc so you have to aim up and medium-long range. It is also very handy for attacking vehicles and shelling the enemy base. :)
