i started becoming a fan with your "My Hero" picture, this is just... awesome.
I love it, and the little crack in the visor, revealing what looks to be a very... horrific and terrified man just by the looks of one of his eyes.

and the music, that just adds to this work of ART

That's an amazing piece!

Kurt had an injury to chest/abs from being hit or sliced with the Hunter shield.

Lol, it's art, enjoy it. Does it really matter when something awesome like this is created? ;D

I won't deny that I was inspired by the Haze artwork (if it wasn't immediately obvious), and duplicated the effect. But my work is never cut-and-paste.

Where did you get the images of the Spartan?

I took it myself. ;)

And to xianoa:

What about this creation is below my usual standards? I'm always looking to improve, so constructive criticism would be most helpful. :)

i dont know. i just dont like the positioning of the character or the explosion behind him. i just expected something ... better.

i think it is purely the spartans body/pose. it doesnt look natural/suit the helmet damage/face thing.

ima look into it a bit more now but ive been recording so im tired now.

Well, I thoroughly appreciate your honesty in this matter, xianoa. Most critiquing around here comes in the form of "I don't like it" messages. Not particularly helpful... I'm sure you know all too well what I speak of. And it doesn't help that most BNet denizens (not all, mind you) wouldn't know "art" if it slapped them in the face. As such, I find it hard to listen to critiques even when they are presented in a more constructive manner.

My advice to you, to any aspiring artist reading this, is to join an actual off-site art community. You will glean little to nothing of value from The Gallery and those who reside here, unless you merely seek to feed the ego by reveling in the praise given.
