"Q: What is a representative experience milestone?
Curtis Creamer: This is the point where we have a build that’s playable from start to finish, bringing together all of the big technical systems, critical design elements, environments, cinematics, effects, audio, etc. The whole taco. Then we have the entire studio play it and tell us how much it sucks."
I'm in the testing field and am a certified XBLA tester, from what I've learned, I thought that the first playable version was Alpha.
Whenever I see games, they are post alpha and are ready for testing.
Where does the REM fit in with the development cycle?
From my teachings, it goes Alpha, Code pass, Content pass. RCA then RC and is then sent off for Certification. Between each test pass there is a MAT test, but I've honestly never heard of a REM. If you could explain the different phases of which Bungie goes through, it would be an AWESOME read!
P.S. I WANT TO TEST RECON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bungie should definitely post a whole news section of when it needs testers because I want to work for you!
I've got PGR4 under my belt and several Arcade titles.
I <3 Bungie!
