Oh this post wasn’t a theory it was a thread starter, I just re-posted a topic I’ve started in another forum. I’ll post a topic about weapons in here tomorrow if you want to check it out. It won’t be what you’d expect from a normal weapons conversation just so you know ahead of time. Yes your idea about the bear’s and scavengers is valid, I wasn’t being very precise due to the fact I had to go out for groceries I assure you my next topic may be more to your liking. It wont have any references to the books but in-game observations. I was wondering, the book said Brutes were able to travel long distances swiftly. Did they explain the Brutes agility fully, because from what we have seen of their feet quick lateral movements are not likely. However they may be able to free pivot on one foot. That means spin on your heel, or whatsoever part of your foot you prefer. This seems very interesting, if you’re out there reading this, you know who you are. I’ll post something in the forum I’m typically at you may wish to read. Otherwise things may not be as contiguous with reality as you have been working, it’ll be up in a week. Note this isn’t to anyone in this thread.

Your insults are unnecessary, child.

A quote:"They floated a half meter above the ground, as if the odd, pink bladders on their backs kept them aloft. One alien used a slender tentacle to open the hood of a car. It began to dissemble the car's electric engine, moving with startling speed.
Within twenty seconds all the parts had been neatly arranged in rows on the pavement. The creature paused, then reassembled the parts with blinding quickness, disassembled and rebuilt it several times into different arrangements. Finally, the creature simply reassembled the car and floated on its way." How can you argue that?

Havoc, it wasn't a Prophet that took the car apart, it was an engineer. I'm assuming you're talking about the engineers who were in Cote D'azure (sp?) in the Fall of Reach.

Exactly how have people managed to become so enraged about one another, this is just a forum? Why is there a need for such hatred, if someone bothers you just forget it. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect, but when people become overly aggressive just get a picture in your head of someone else crouched over a computer typing away. Do you think a person truly enraged would have the control to type properly.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

Well said, Foton.

And havoc, why would we lie about something like that? There's no need for name-calling.

Dom is right Havoc it was an engineer who took apart the engine he didn’t make that post up. Also if people disagree with each other they should call names of flam the other posters it just makes you look bad.

First off...thats some damn detailed analysing.

But secondly, its not neccessarily true that bungie designed the covenant to display traits of canivores of herbivores. Maybe its just cooincidence that their shape, size, and muscular build causes them to seem like they would live here or do that, etc.. They could have been designed how they were to just plain look cool (which they do).

that was detailed, GOD. i do have one question though, will the flood be back?

i think grunts are the most intelligent of the covenant (not counting the prophets, since i haven't seen them around in the game yet) sure, the elites are good at fighting, but i think that's it. it seems like elites are bred to know everything about battle. grunts have the most technology, including the fuel rod cannon and the atmosphere suits. i bet the grunts came up with all the weapons the covenant use, just the elites and jackals and hunters are more physically suited to use them. also, grunts are the only covenant that can speak english, which i can guess is not the native language of their planet.

but of course, i don't see how jackals got to be primary fighters, since they are incredibly fragile. they are just as weak as grunts, but their sheilds give them all the defense they have. perhaps since it is a time of war, they just got everyone to fight that they could.

maybe prophets are the equivalent to our government. our government can't fight or develop tactics, they can't build weapons, but they can tell people to fight and build weapons. prophets are probably just figureheads of authority so the covenant will have some sort of structure and controll.

umm are you high? the grunts are dumb. i mean god they run into the crowd when you throw a nade on em. they cant be smart. they are funny though.

The engineers took the cars apart, not the prophets. The Prophets wouldn't dare go on a planet tainted by "human vermin".

Yeah hahaha your so wrong you ovisouly never read the fall of reach or first strike.

actually your wrong, they prophets dont do that, its the engeniers, the prophets would never go on that planet cuz humans lived there, also it talked about the alien using its tentecals, and prophets dont have tentecals, its the engineers
