For those of you who don't know the +1 rule( if you know stuff about guns already, don't bother reading this paragraph). In order to explain the rule Im gonna use a commonly known modern day weapon, the M16. Lets say you put a 30 rounds magazine into the reciever and 'co-ck' the weapon. This removes a single bullet from the magazine and puts it into the chamber, meaning, its ready to fire. So, you have 1 bullet in the chamber and 29 in the magazine, still 30. Now lets say that your going into a big battle so you want all the ammo you can get, so you take out the magazine with 29 rounds in it, and put in a fresh 30 round magazine. You now have 1 in the chamber, and 30 in the magazine for a total of 31.
Ok heres the hard part. In the E3 03 sinlge player demo, when Master CHief reloads the battle rifle, he pulls the slide back and unlocks the chamber(even tho it should be the other way around :P), takes out the magazine and puts in a new one. Ok, no big deal, he was out of ammo( was he?), so he reloaded. But thise year's E3, when he reloaded, he simply swapped magazines. My question is this: will the +1 rule apply in Halo 2 if you reload before your magazine is empty? In Halo CE (Assualt Rifle, bte) he always unlocked the chamber to reload whether the mag was empty or not (if the mag wasnt empty, it would simply eject the bullet already in the chamber, leaving him still with 60 rounds, no harm, no foul) But this time it seems different. Im mainly aiming this question towards those who played it at E3 and have definite answers, not just opinions.
