SB-117

The next xbox (regular one) will not have a hard-drive I believe.

Although I think that you'll either be able to buy a harddrive accesory and/or buy a version that is more expensive and has a harddrive built in/included. Thats just what I've heard though.

I go around the world leaving a path of destruction in my wake. When I come to a city, grown men cry and women wail. I collect the skulls of my enemies and display them for all to see.........I also kick puppies. For fun.

Not trying to flame or anything, but, although the new XBOX is an interesting subject, this thread should be put in The Flood forum, since it is not about Halo 2.

I hope it will be BC (Backwards Compatible) but Microsoft, being no saint, will force people to buy Xbox 1 to enjoy great games like Halo 1 and 2, Splinter Cell, SC2, Mechassault, Mechassault 2, and Max Payne.

My freind had this problem. He owns a PS2, but came over to my house to play Halo, and (guess what) got addicted to it. Now he's saving up money to buy an Xbox, but since Xbox 2 comes out in 2 years, he's wondering if it's worth it. I told him yes, Halo and Halo 2 will be worth it, but it is rather un-thrifty. So, yeah that sucks. Deal with it.

The title of this thread is wrong. It's compaTability, not compaDability.
Sorry for the double-posting, but you people won't read this otherwise.

There's also a lot of rumours suggesting that the controllers will be altered to remove the black and white buttons and replace them with another set of shoulder buttons

I dont think having backwards compadability is a big deal. I would just take out my xobx 1 so i can play older games. The xbox 1 is bulky and big, i would like a sleek lighter xbox 2.
one thing they must keep though is the infinite memory space and the controllers! I hate having to buy memory cards and controllers, its a waste of money. That is the only thing playstation did right, keep the controllers (even though playstation controllers suck)

I played halo for 3 years, and i plan to play halo2 about as long. If it's not BC, then I don't see the point in buying an xbox next until the next big bungie game :)
