You are stupid i mean there are handheld mini guns that are used in our special forces and rangers plus it is 500 years in the future So any kinks would be out. There ARE handheld mini guns the are given to elite squads of soldiers and I would say MC is elite wouldn't you?
I'd appreciate it if you stayed of my post with your incorrect ideas. plus in one of the first versions of halo there WAS a portable gattling gun

To bad, I'm still gona post.

What are you talking about? Name at least one country that has an active handheld minigun in there arsenal, and by minigun I mean multiple barrel machien gun thats belt fed. Hell, find Draeden's email, and ask him if there are any handheld miniguns outside of the movies. I'm not here to rain on your parade, but I'm tired of gun illiterate people shooting there mouths off that there should be a minigun just because there was one in the pre-Xbox days. All these frag games like Doom and UT have miniguns in them, and arent they just benchmarks for realism. Halo is one of the few FPS's that hasnt done a minigun because it' not very realistic. Do you see any miniguns in the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon series? No, because theyre combat sims.

Go to this link bellow and scroll to the bottom of the page. Then read through the rest at the top.

If you can find a link for a photo or video of someone firing a real handheld minigun, not an airsoft, then I will apologize.

BTW, I doubt miniguns will be that widely used considering the advancement in firearms in the future. We're more likely to be using handheld railguns rather than a fossil like a minigun.

Instead of using a machete to give the marines a chance, why not just add a long ass bayonet?? then they could just go all nuts when the enemy got close, fire like mad (fully auto) then when they got too close, stab the enemy in the head!

4)Less marines would die for stupid reasons and you could organize them to take out targets they couldn't take out normally. The way you could order them around would be to put your crosshairs on them and push A and a little menu would pop up where you could order them to Follow by pushing A and Hold postion B then they could regroup by pushing Y and Take Cover with X. There would also be a way open a list of more orders and a button to order all marines within a certain area to follow the order you are about to give. This way they wouldn't charge into a pair of hunters without backup ( I have seen it done, they went one by one to their death, stupid marines) they could also help you more rather than just takin out random enemies like weak grunts

I posted almost the same idea.....................great minds think alike!

Also, while I'm on this little diatribe I'll also go on about the shotgun situation. Why is that suggesting is handheld minigun is just fine dandy, but whenever the idea of a semi-auto shotgun is suggested its shot down for being unbalanced. So I'm to understand that a handheld semiauto shotgun is unbalanced and that a f.u.c.k.i.n.g. minigun is just fine because it was in the original build.

Give me a f.u.c.k.i.n.g. break.

ATTENTION ALL FANBOYS. READ UP ON GUN FACTS BEFORE SHOOTING YOUR MOUTHS OFF!

I'd rather have a pump action simply for the feel (yeah, it's a game, but there's still an ambience and aesthetic quality to pump actions) and balance of a pump action shotgun. A semi-auto shotgun with the power of the shotgun in Halo would be devestating, firing 12 shells back to back would make it the only short range weapon to go to, other than maybe the energy sword. I dont want Halo to turn into a Quake thing where everyone just tries to get the one baddest gun. It got close enough with the pistol and rocket launcher, but there were still ways around em.

Oh and as for your signature, it's freakin balanced in MP because that makes games fun, and gameplay is priority over all else, realism or otherwise. It IS unbalanced in Campaign, odds of about 50,000 to 1, so there

The MC should've had night vision in the first place, it's 550 YEARS in the future. They should all be using using night vision if u ask me. We use night vision now for heavens sake. oi

i think night vision is a good idea but not having it in the 343 gs and the library really added to the overall creepiness of only having that small circle of light.
