Anyone who has read the new august issue of OXM certainly has read the team's halo 2 hands-on statement on page 18. now if you still are arguing whether or not the warthog has a boost, read Rob Smiths statement. he says the following: (and i quote) "Jumping in a Warthog and taking off to enemy base. Yeah, done that before. Hitting the left-trigger to inject the nitro-like power boost, screaming up a ramp and soaring majestically over a wall on a trajectory for the heart of the enemy base? Wow. That was new, and oh-so sweet."

so there ya go for everyone who still says that its only the covie vehicles that have boosts.

dude they played it so i think they would know more than u and i would. and whats wrong with a human vehicle having a boost. its the -blam!- future surely every car is capable of a speed boost of some kind.

No nitro stuff this isnt burnout. Emergency brake and Horn are the trigger functions, not boost.

so what. nobody cares whether the -blam!- ghost has a boost. that just seems so sweet to them. but if u put a boost on a -blam!- human car that seems outrageously impossible and stupid!? Whether u like it or not the warthog had a boost and whether u like it or not halo 2 will never be like -blam!- burnout or any other game. and giving the warthog a boost is a better idea than half the -blam!- i have heard going around these forums.

Yes theres a lot of crap around these forums, repeated stuff, spam, stupid ideas etc. but ou cant just quote some writers opinion thats not confirmed by the actual developers and excpect us to believe it.

ok if the editor lied (which i doubt) do u know how much -blam!- he would get when the game actually came out and everyone found out the warthog doesnt have a boost? he would probably -blam!- lose his job. besides y would he lie about a thing that bungie made themselves? this is not the first time that i have heard that the warthog does have a boost feature. and this is an unfinished build they were playing so bungie might just take out the feature. but i seriously dont think that the editor in chief would have lied about something like that.
yeah and im sure ther has been a couple of things that bungie has not told us that other people have seen. just like the video of the E3 press conference. there has been a couple little things on videos that have leeked out that bungie has never said anything about. so im just saying that the editor has played halo 2 something most of u guys have never done except in ur dreams so i think that he would know more than u.

He could of easily just assumed the warthog to have a boost by november because the ghost has.

he gave a hands-on experience. which means he played it. he goes on to explain when he was soaring through the air a big light came which turned out to be a rocket and vlew him up. its not just that he is speculating he actually got into the warthog and used it. and i have heard from other people that have played it at E3 that it does boost.

Magazines make mistakes. OXM is also the one that stated the Battle Rifle and Energy sword would be dual weildable. This would be there third Halo 2 mistake in the past 2 issues.

The warthog didn't have a boost feature at E3. Go ask Shishka or someone who played it so you can realise thats load of crap.

the only reason u guys believe that the ghost has a boost is because we saw it. bungie could take it out. and there are a lot of other things like hunters and tanks, etc. that have not been confirmed by bungie but most everyone is still like dont worry it will be in there because that is what made halo. well i think that if they were to give a ghost a boost (which is the second fastest vehicle in halo) why would they not give other slower vehicles a boost to even it out?

how do u know shishiska is not sworn to secrecy? huh? he could just be lying as well.

It is even. The warthog is harder to destroy than the ghost and its slower. Whereas the ghost is nimble and fast yet can be destroyed easier.

I say to make the vehilces different. Also the warthog is a different class from the Banshee or Ghosht, it can be used to transport the flag. No vehicle that can transport the flag will have a boost function. It would be too cheap.

Listen, dumbass. That's what the magazine said. They wouldn't lie. I don't care if it was the brake in the first halo. It is boost in the second game.

The version that the guys from OXM played was the newest build so it could be different.
