Subject: Macto Cognatus (I honor my Father's blood) [FF]

Alright, this is my 3rd attempt and hopefully the last as I do not want it to seem like spamming. First, wrong thread, then the poll might not have been allowed in here so I was taking no chances. Those of you that read it don't have to reread it, or posted before don't have to post again. Here is the original script below...:

I have written a FanFic story, though now done yet, no where near done actually. I have the prologue and Chapter 1 set up though, Chapter 2 in progress. Hope you guys like it! Here's my drill: You can rant on it as long as it's correcting my mistakes, grammer/spelling errors, or something that does not belong in the Halo universe. Praises on the story are always nice too, I just like people to point out my mistakes so I can get better. Keep in mind I'm really young so the story might be a bit scratchy. Alright, I give you all the prologue first and see what you guys think about it here.

Quick Translation
Sangheili = Elite
Kig-yar = Jackals
Unggoy = Grunts

That's just for those of you who do not know. I will post the prologue as the Covenant view, Chapter 1 is human side of the story, Chapter 2 will be Covenant again, and then Chapter 3 will be human once more then etc. alright let's get this rolling.

Prologue
Onboard the Human vessel ‘Winter's Snowfall
1300 Hours, August 8th, 2538

The poorly built human ship creaked and moaned of sorrow as the Covenant forces boarded the ship and flooded through. Ta'raan Kastee ducked under a beam that crossed above the doorway, obviously annoyed. Pathetic humans, he thought, such tiny creatures. Ta'raan thudded along, already in a search with his fellow Sangheili and the cowardice Unggoy. Ta'raan ordered the Kig-yar to stay behind, he‘d let the filthy vermin they were pillage and salvage the ship later. He already had his plasma rifle drawn and aimed ahead, the rifle itself hungrily searching for blood and human flesh. Ta'raan’s energy sword remained clipped to the side of his thigh plate, ready for use at a moments notice.

That’s odd. Shall there not be more humans? Only a few attacked us as we boarded their ship. Something of this size should hold more of the creatures, Ta'raan thought as he walked evenly along the steel floor on his he way to what appeared to be the direction of the bridge. The worthless humans couldn’t even call themselves warriors, they should no honor in their fighting if they do not show themselves soon.

Ta'raan stopped and turned around suddenly, an Unggoy running into his leg at the unexpected sudden halt. The unknown Unggoy jumped back in fear at his mistake and panicked, the Unggoy stammered and rasped through his methane breather, “I’m so very sorry master,”

Ta'raan looked down at his gold plated leg, signifying his new rank of position. A shipmaster, the new Zealot. He looked at the fear stricken Unggoy then, grasping it by its stubby neck. Ta'raan choked it, “How dare you disturb the presence of a Zealot?” Ta'raan bellowed, his mandibles splitting angrily, but pondered this before slamming the Unggoy into the bulkhead and letting him slide to the floor as time was very short. The Unggoy remained unmoving, its skull probably fractured but did not care and turned to the rest of the group, “Hurry, off this ship now!” Ta'raan nearly had to shout it a second time, but the group of Covenant started to move out. And quickly. He knew the ship was probably rigged to self destruct and the humans all fled down to the planets surface. Horrible, he nearly spat out loud, they have no pride.

The ship shook again, probably the beginning of the end, but Ta'raan remained determined and sprinted down the long corridor to his boarding craft pushing the useless Unggoy out of the way that ran in front of him. Ta'raan ran through the small energy shield that was connected from the boarding craft to the ship feeling the fizz crackle against his own shields of his Zealot gold armor. The pilot already starting up the small boarding craft. The last of the Unggoy ran in after their panicked jog and onto other nearby ships.

Ventanius swirled with storms and huge clouds on the planet bellow them. Ta'raan looked at the planet through one of the nearby windows, watching it carefully. He knew the humans were down there and he was determined to find them, one by one he’d kill them off. Ta'raan broke out of his thoughts and the trance before returning back to the present.

Ta'raan Kastee walked up to the cockpit, ducking his head through to see a Sangheili piloting the ship. Ta'raan looked back at the startled Unggoy then back at the pilot, “Brother, what are your orders?”

The Sangheili looked up to meet the Zealot’s gaze, “My master, it is to get back to the ship and rally our troops for a forward assault,”

He mulled this over in his head and pondered the assault. Ta'raan knew it would take to long to rally there troops and hunt down the humans. By then, the pathetic creatures could have regrouped or found a hiding place. Ta'raan quickly changed the order over the COM system, “All Covenant forces in the boarding craft, prepare for an assault. We’re going planet side,” he said and flicked the COM switch off before turning back to his fellow pilot, “the hunt has begun…”

His plasma rifle remained at his side, not yet stored away as it would be ungrateful. Ta'raan was ready to use it, to purge the humans of their last drop of blood. He returned his attention once more to the odd world wondering what could have been in its depths. He’d claim his victory, a much great one at that.

His thoughts were once more disturbed as the small ship he was on shook twice. Probably one from the destruction of the human ship, and the other entering the atmosphere. He could taste the hunger to kill in his mouth. Oh, he was ready. Zealot Ta'raan Kastee walked back out of the cockpit to make ready without further ado.
